God I just love everything about Sense and the fact that I drive from Arlington VA should say enough. Erin has colored my hair for almost 10 years now and she just nails it every time. I have thick long wavy hair that I like a lot blonder than I naturally am, and she somehow does that but also keeps my hair really healthy! Mimi cuts my hair and there is no one that does it like her. She creates the most beautiful soft layers and truly listens to me when I ask to keep the length. The vibe at Sense is amazing and I love supporting a small woman owned business. I can’t recommend this place enough.

It was scheduled for the 9/16 after a month of waiting there would be an event on that day. I have been coming to Sense the last year and I’ve been extremely happy with my hair. Barbara does an awesome job of making my highlights look perfect and not brassy. I have very curly, dry hair that soaks in color. I’ve struggled to find a hairdresser that makes my hair look naturally blonde without looking orange so I’m thrilled to have found Barbara at Sense. I have had an AMAZING experience at Sense time and time again. I get my hair colored by Erin Love! and recently got my hair cut by Leigh also love!. Erin is phenomenal with color. She understands exactly what you want and the results not only look great - they last. Leigh is also an excellent hair stylist-who will give you exactly what you want. The studio is gorgeous and I love relaxing there after a long day at work. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and you can tell that everyone works well together. I can't say enough great things about this salon and I will definitely be a life-long client!

My hair has never looked better thanks to the ladies at Sense! The staff are wonderful, the space is open and welcoming, and the location is incredibly convenient. Erin does the best balayage in DC trust me, I've tried quite a few colorists over the years! and Mimi consistently gives me the best cuts I've ever had. They take the time to understand not only your vision but also your hair care habits to give you a cut and color that is truly personalized. I cannot recommend this salon highly enough!

This is THE MOST incredible salon and THE MOST talented stylists. Shout out to Leigh, Erin, and Barbara for making my hair look so natural and beautiful and working with me to get it just right. Local, women-owned and the team is AMAZING! If your looking for a new hair place or just want to try a new place out, I highly recommend Sense. It took me years to find a good colorist in DC and was absolutely thrilled when I met Erin a few years ago. Not only is she great at what she does but she's a wonderful human being. When she told me she was opening up her own salon, I didn't even hesitate, I followed! In addition to Erin, I also found a new Hair Cutter!

I love Sense so much. Erin is an incredibly gifted colorist, and I have never had a haircut I love more than the one Mimi first proposed doing for me a year ago, which I hope to have forever. The salon is open and airy and always bustling with kind staff and friendly clients. There are complimentary LaCroix waters, wine, WiFi, snacks and charging stations with cords for your phone. For me, spending a few hours here for a cut and color every three months is a real pleasure.

Sense is fantastic. After years of going through mediocre hair colorists, I've been getting my hair colored with Barbara for almost a year now and am never going back! She is the best. Added bonus: all of the women at Sense are friendly, unpretentious, and tremendously talented, which lends itself to the warm albeit very trendy! space they've created.
