Serpas was named one of the "10 Best New Restaurants in America" by GQ Magazine in 2009 and continues to impress both critics and diners with a seasonally inspired menu by acclaimed chef Scott Serpas.
Acclaimed Atlanta chef Scott Serpas opened his first eponymous restaurant, Serpas True Food, at The Pavilion at Studioplex in the Old Fourth Ward historic district in January 2009 and was named one of the "10 Best New Restaurants in America" that same year by GQ magazine. Located in the heart of the culturally rich neighborhood at the intersection of Irwin Street and Auburn Avenue, Serpas features approachable cuisine with an edge handcrafted by the New Orleans native chef and owner. Best described as "True Food," the innovative American dishes encompass fresh ingredients that emit comforting flavors with a touch of Southwestern and Asian styles handcrafted by chef Serpas. Serpas is located in a historical cotton storage factory built in the 1900s overlooking Auburn Avenue. To maintain building's fundamental spirit, Serpas and his wife, Dawn, have preserved several of the building's original elements to ensure the look is raw and holds true to the original rustic form.
