Shades Mountain Community Park

Shades Mountain Community Park is a great place Nestled in the hear of hoover. It has so many baseball parks where kids can come and have fun and also learn how to play baseball. I am my kids will be frequenting this Park quite often. It is one of the best kept secrets in the city of hoover. The kids loved to come out here and practice baseball.

Have been here a few times over the past couple of weeks for grandson’s tee ball games. Was very disappointed when we went last Thursday evening to find the restrooms located right by those fields to be locked. Several parents had to run their children to the restrooms at the front of the park. These are the youngest athletes who are barely potty trained.

Kid friendly, great for walking! Great small playground in front. One additional playground with a high sliding board past several baseball fields. Walking path is great. Clean park. Restrooms easily assessible.

They need to EXPAND parking!!! My kids used to play ball here and now my grandchildren are. Received a parking ticket from the City of Hoover. I was under the impression Shades Mtn Park was private property. Seems like the Hoover Police could find something better to do with their time.

Very nice ball park. Needs a bit more parking.

Doesn't handle rain very well. Worked on fields alot and still pretty muddy. Not even alot of rain the night before. Delayed 2 hours.

This park needs updating really bad. The hills coupled with how far away you have to park is not kind to the elderly or those with a disability.

Shades Mountain Community Park is a very clean modern facility. It is mainly for baseball and softball . If you are looking for a playground this would not be a good choice.

Fantastic Park was there a couple weeks ago and watch my youngest grandson play ball, It is Immaculate I feel like for that age of children it's way over the top.

Watched by children play sports here for years. Great place for family's to watch their children excel and spend time with others.
