Shamas Deli is pure NYC. Find this newstand/deli counter tucked next to a parking garage on 38th. Quick service, affordable, and tasty. Two eggs on a roll for $2.50. Chicken salad and other sandos are basic but great. Characters abound.

Super fast turnaround on service and the best egg salad sandwiches in the biz

Total hole in the wall with very good sandwiches, ranging form tuna fish, to chicken cutlet to pastrami. The foot print of this place is about the size of a desk... and 3 people stuffed in there make your orders. They are nice people and quick to serve. Prices are about 7-10 bucks, depending if it small sandwich or a full hero.

A hidden gem near Times Square. It's delicious, affordable sandwiches, and the perfect lunch spot.
