Plant lover's best kept secret in the valley. I have been buying tropical and subtropical plants from Shamus O'Leary since 2014 or so and I keep coming back. There is always something new to see and checkout. This is also one of the few nursery in the valley where the staff knows what they're talking about. Walk around the property and you will see many mature tropical fruiting trees that has been growing in soil for many years. Go there if you want to recharge, get inspired or just simply want to escape into a tropical paradise in the middle of a desert.
Always a great day visiting the nursery. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Their nursery is well maintained, organized and clean. They now offer delivery and I was so happy that they could deliver my Barbados cherries. That left us more room for bananas grapes and citrus. I’d highly recommend their delivery service and know the staff will pick out the best trees for your garden.
Wow! Just wow! First off- the customer service here is simply Amazing! Everyone is so very helpful and wonderful and patient. They have so much knowledge and are willing to explain things to you when they aren’t crazy busy- so if you think you need time to talk to someone- choose a weekday not a weekend. Their stock is simply beautiful. The smell is rich and reminds you of walking through a forest. This place is seriously not like any other plant nurseries you have gone to before. This is way beyond what you could even imagine a plant nursery could be. Just the feeling of the place let’s you know this is where dreams and reality meet- and they are with you every step of the way to make it happen.
My favorite place to buy fruit trees! I've had an excellent experience with all the trees I have purchased from GreenLife! I have a Meyer lemon, tangerine, guava, fig, DC banana and fuyu persimmon! Everyone there is very helpful and take time to answer all your questions. I love to visit even if I'm not purchasing because of their beautiful pond! It's such a peaceful space with trees planted in ground like avocado, jamaican cherry, Royal Poinciana and other trees which shows you can grown anything in the desert with the right micro climate and care!
We’ve visited almost every nursery in the valley and this is hands down the very best, especially if you’re looking for a specific variety of fruit tree. They may not have it all but they have the knowledge and compassion to help make your garden grow well. We’ve been here for mango sampling, and wish we would have purchased the competitors trees here because the ones we purchased from Summer Winds, Moon Valley, or Richards just do not compare. It’s honestly worth it to us to drive across town from Happy Valley, because I know I’m purchasing quality. We just wish there were better afternoon hours as I work overnights. The only cons I really have about the place are the limited signage from the road and small parking lot. It gets even smaller though when I’m there.
We went there August of 2021. The place is beautiful. Many many trees of all types. The lady that helped us was very nice. Know what you want or what you are looking for, because there is huge selection. No one tries to upsell you or interfere with your browsing. It's a nice browsing and shopping experience. My daughter purchased the rainbow eucalyptus tree, start fruit tree, and I think a pomegranate tree.
Incredible selection of trees, palms, and plants not commonly found everywhere else - with very fair prices! We were friendly greeted a few times by the workers and Jorge was incredibly nice and helpful.. we will be buying multiple things for our backyard . Skip the big box stores and come here !
Love this nursery. Super helpful staff and a large selection of exotic plants you won't find anywhere else in the valley. A horticulturist's dream. The nursery itself also doubles as a botanical garden with its own koi pond. It's all beautifully arranged. A testament to the knowledge and care of the people working the location. If you're tired of seeing the same old stereotypical desert plants everywhere I'm looking at you Oleander then I highly suggest seeing what this place has to offer. They may have a privacy hedge or tree that you rarely see and that none of your neighbors have.
What can I say, This is by FAR the most beautiful nursery in the valley hands down!! The staff is very helpful and informative. They know everything about the tropical plants and trees. Including feeding requirements as well as where to position your tree in your yard which is amazing! I have personally purchased over 15 trees from them and they are all very healthy to this day. I would recommend this nursery to anyone!!!
Been a long time customer. This is the best nursery in the valley by a long shot. The staff is spectacular with exceptional customer service. The variety and quality of the plants is unmatched. You can tell GreenLife takes pride in their work and helping others succeed. Shamus, Jorge, and Kim are amazing at what they do and have always taken the time out to help me and others with whatever I need.
