A cute antique candy shop. It’s a must visit place. Great for kids to see. The old school cash register is too cool. The staff is really nice. Fair warning, the chocolates are expensive, but worth it. The raspberry sherbet bar I purchased was very delicious.Food: 5/5
Beautiful antique chocolate/candy store!! Please take a look at the back of the store. Beautiful. They make their delicious chocolate from scratch. A must if you go to Philly. I wish I can add the videos that I took inside.Food: 5/5
The store alone is a must-see. The chocolate is one of the best. The knowledge of the staff was most certainly recognized. Thank you for entertaining our sweet tooth and sending us back home with some goodies!!!Food: 5/5
Had a love talk with the worker, who told me about Shane Confectionery's history. This store is beautiful & luxe & has some amazing treats to choose from. In particular we loved the salted licorice & gingerbread, but you can't go wrong with any of the chocolate obviously.Food: 5/5
- had a decent collection of chocolate and all, everything was fresh and had really good flavor. Probably some of the best chocolate I've had. - staff were friendly and helpful. - prices honestly seem a bit high for what you get, I know it's chocolate made like back in the day but $85 for a large box, $55 for a medium, and $45 is a bit high. I got a 6 piece for $20. Worth the price but still kind of high in my opinion. - place was clean and organized. - overall, definitely really good chocolate and id recommend getting something here.
I truly can't recommend this place enough! An absolute must-visit for anyone visiting Philly. The displays make it feel like you are stepping back in time, every staff member I've interacted with was polite, patient, and knowledgeable, and they have a great variety of treats, including many vegan options! The sweets are both beautiful and tasty. I love the vegan raspberry jellies covered in dark chocolate most, but I've had so many great treats. They also value the ethical sourcing of their chocolate, which is very important. Vintage style, modern values.
This place was AMAZING. It was like a Time Capsule from the 1800s. There was a beautiful antique cash register, lovely old architecture, and candy molds that were used when the shop first opened. And of course the hand made chocolates are out of this world. I loved the diverse selection they had, from familiar favorites to unique flavors like honey lavender. The hot chocolate was delicious too, very rich and chocolatey. One of the chefs was even nice enough to give us a behind the scenes tour! Definitely one of the best places we visited in Philly.
Little nicest lady in a Victorian era outfit help me pick out the candy I want. Everything's made in house from cacao Beans to chocolate, and the taste shows. Dietary restrictions: Sugar free and vegan options available
Great chocolate here! It’s the oldest candy shop in AMERICA! Pretty sweet. The workers were super friendly. The milk chocolate hot cocoa was VERY good. The perfect drink on a cold fall/winter day!
