Recently and quite successfully we worked with Guild Mortgage, Sara Keller and her team, in Clackamas OR. In the past I have taken out many mortgages so I am familiar with the process. Sara and her team are the most professional, well-organized, responsive mortgage brokers I have worked with. At each stage of the process, a team member checked in with me for something they needed or to inform me of the progress on the loan. They responded promptly to communication from me. One aspect of our loan was a bit difficult and Sara spent time researching it and brought us the best solution possible. It saved us a significant amount of money. I highly recommend Sara and her team.

I did not have a positive experience with Guild Mortgage. While they did explore options to work with my financial situation and were communicative, my closing on the property fell through due to delays and additional program requirements that were not conveyed to me. In the two weeks spent doing paperwork for the program, interest rates rose quickly enough to force me to back out of my dream home. I do not blame them for the market, but I do hold them responsible for not communicating the extra work in locking everything in.

I brought my loan from guild mortgage. They helped me to get my first house and I am very thankful to Jennifer, Vince Kingston for getting this done, and I would recommend you guys to work with Tim as your realtor he was the person who always would follow up about my loan processing and update in a timely manner.

I got my home mortgage from Guild Mortgage just over two years ago and refinanced through them one year later. I had been through three different mortgage brokers and none of them were able to help me. It is difficult to get help with a mortgage when you are self employed. I was almost going to give up when someone told me to call Vince Kingston. I am so glad I did. Vince was able to set me up with financing and I was able to find a home to buy. Vince and Jennifer Painter helped make the process easy and stress free. Both are very helpful, prompt and professional. Best of all, one year later I contacted them about refinancing and they made the process go smoothly. I am grateful to be in a home I love and very appreciative of the help from Vince and Jennifer. Just way to many miscommunications, missteps and sending my PII data including my full SSN over non-secure email to someone without notifying me. I've purchased and refinanced many times. I've never experienced so many issues from day one thru funding. 1. Poor communication thru the entire process. 2. Without requesting my work's contact information they called a general support line, providing way too much information to the front desk person about my getting a loan. 3. Emailed documents "by mistake" to someone at my employer that included all my PII data including my full SSN. 4. Without any notification, again, called the front desk of my employer and told the random support person about the loan I was applying for, and told them again, this is just a random support person that my loan would not be funded unless my manager called them back before EOD. They called at 3:45PM on a Friday! There's plenty of alternatives. I could not in good faith recommend this company. Mistakes happen, but the level of miscommunication, not communicating and mishandling my PII data is beyond a single issue and should clearly show you how this company is run. If it weren't for the current world crisis affecting loan rates, I would have cancelled and found another company.
