One of the best workouts I have ever done. Very challenging, but fun. The coaches are motivating and take the time to demonstrate proper form so that no one gets hurt. I highly recommend this gym.
I have been a member of Shed since nearly the beginning. I have probably tried close to every gym in the Memphis area. Usually after about a year or so I get burnt out on a gym, but something about Shed makes the burn out nearly impossible. The coaches are all amazing and supportive. Each workout is always different and can be modified to your level of fitness. I have been seen religiously at the AM classes but now with a new job, I have had to become an OG at the PM classes. I truly love Shed and if you haven’t tried a class- YOU SHOULD!
I went to a fitness event they held with my plus size friend. We pushed ourselves pretty hard. She ended up throwing up a few times. We got so much attitude and nasty looks from a couple of the instructors there. Kendyll was definitely the most rude. Might be a good place to go if you’re already slim or fit. Not a great place to go for people who just started working out and has an extremely unwelcoming culture to plus size people which is odd for a gym. At first I thought maybe I was imagining the rudeness being directed towards us but by the end of the event it was clear. Additionally, they took sooo many photos throughout the event of us working out. Me and my friend were literally the only people excluded from the photos they posted. Still going to be working out though! I will just be somewhere more welcoming instead.
Best fitness classes in Memphis! People are nice and coaches are super helpful. Each day the workout targets different muscles, SHED is a great way to get a comprehensive excercise in.
I have been working out with shed for about 3 months now. The classes are well thought out, challenging and a great overall workout. The instructors are very helpful and knowledgeable about their craft. It has been one of my most pleasant gym experiences in the Memphis area.
My new favorite gym! My wife had been trying to get me to try Shed Fitness-East Memphis for months. I was resistant at first because I was out of shape and have never been one for workout classes. I usually work out on my own and primarily do weight lifting, but I finally tried Shed and instantly loved it. The circuit style workouts split between multiple timed stations keep you moving and your heart rate up, allowing you to get in a great workout in just 50 minutes—and you don’t have to waste time waiting around for someone to get off the bench, machine, etc., which always drove me crazy at other gyms. Now, I can attend a morning class and efficiently get in a great workout to jumpstart my day. Highly recommended!
I absolutely love SHED Fitness!! All of the fitness coaches are amazing and keep you motivated during the entire class! They also lift you up when you felt you could have done better! I have been a member for almost a year now, and I just keep coming back!
Love working out at Shed Fitness. The workouts are are both functional and fun. It's great to get a some cardio mixed in with the strength workouts using the rowers and treadmills. There are plenty of class times to choose from. My husband and I would go more often if we lived closer!!
I joined Shed in January 2022, and it has been great for me. The workouts offer variety and trainers are there to encourage as well as push you to get the most out of your workout.
Really enjoy my workouts here! Each day is different and you never know what the workout is until you get.
