My sisters and I came for a bite right as they opened. The lady there was super nice and got our food ready quickly. The place is clean and has a lot of pretty Japanese art up. I really enjoyed the food. They serve big servings for not too expensive. I had a great time here and would love to come back. If you are in the mood for Japanese food, stop by. You won't regret it!
Excellent meal chicken teriyaki. Food was hot, fresh, and tender. Generous portion of meat with lots of veggies. Enough for lunch tomorrow too. Sunny location attractively decorated. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive.
Soooo good! Poke bowl had incredible flavor. Well priced and good portions! My son loves the veggie and baby roll sweet potato and the teriyaki was great too!
The Dragon Roll I just ate five minutes ago was abhorrent. I have eaten mediocre sushi in the Midwest, deep fried even, and never have I thrown out a $10 roll after three bites. The shrimp tempura in the roll tasted like a deep fried Oreo. Absolutely heinous. Go up the street to the Hillsdale Food Carts if you want better cheap sushi. Chicken Teriyaki was decent the one time I got it. I don't remember the California Roll so it must have been acceptable.
I had ramen bowls and takoyaki and both were sub-standard. Both ramen bowls were identical in taste although they were different dishes. Takoyaki was 95% cheeseballs and 5% octopus. I found egg shells in the ramen and floating stuff in the water, so I am not sure of the hygiene either. We had visited close to the closing time and we were constantly being reminded through various actions to pay and leave quickly. In the end I couldn’t even finish my beer. I felt it was pretty rude. Will never visit again.
I came here for a date night with my partner and both of us were really disappointed at how different the experience was compared to all the reviews. The biggest issue is that the sushi was low quality and had a similar texture and taste regardless of the type of fish. It did not seem fresh at all. If you're looking for budget sushi then this place is it, but for me I want at least mid-quality fish, maybe like Mio Sushi. For those who care about sustainability, this place would definitely not be acceptable. The service wasn't great but not terrible and the decor and atmosphere reflected the overall quality of the place, reminiscent of a cheap diner. It serves a crowd that cares differently about sushi than me. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this place to friends/family and won't be going back.
Great place! Fresh fish, good variety, very friendly and attentive staff. They're by far the best sushi-go-round option in the area, and I've visited most of them. My daughter and I live nearby, and we're so glad they're in the neighborhood!
Cheerful atmosphere, great food and comfy chairs. Got there at 12:40 for lunch and the place was happily half full. Wonderful selection of dishes, with menus nearby to answer any questions about the sushi that was rolling by.
While the place can get a bit overwhelmed with guests, the good food and fantastic server I forget her name right now, but she is amazing make it worth the wait and terrible parking. Just a word of note: read your Groupons BEFORE coming in and refusing to pay for your meal Lauren Vinge, I'm looking at you. The prices and selection are pretty decent, plus they have noodle and soup dishes for those who do not want sushi. All in all, a great little place do have a yummy meal at.
We really want to like this place. We keep trying but it seems something is always amiss. Somewhere in between the quirky overly attentive service, stail air, and warm sushi on the conveyor train, there must be something good to eat. We have actually had a couple of good meals here. Two out of eight ain't bad, right? We'll we're giving up. Last night we tried again. The first three plates we tried were warm and fishy. Now my girlfriend is sick with stomach cramps and . Bummer, cause we really wanted to like this place.
