Great group of people that work at Shore Tackle & Custom Rods. I’ve bought multiple rods there and had multiple rod guides and eyes replaced by Joe and Bill. They’ve always been very patient and listen to my needs for fishing Tackle and rods. The quality of their rods and their ability to set you up with the right one for the type of fishing you’re doing is what sets them apart from anywhere else I’ve been. I did read a review on here about a guy that broke a rod trying to lift a skate into the boat. I too broke one of my rods on a skate doing the same thing. However I know that the rod broke because I was trying to muscle the fish up so I could retrieve my lure which was stupid of me to try. I “owned it “and didn’t expect them to warranty it. Graphite rods are not designed to do that. You can’t pull a huge fish or skate into the boat with the rod. You have to lip the fish along side the boat if it’s or just cut the line by the boat if it’s a skate. I just felt it was necessary to add this to my review so other buyers understand if these rods break it’s because they’re being using incorrectly or slammed in a car door. Rods are not meant for lifting the fish out of the water into the boat.?

Great Tackle Shop. Bill and Joe are super nice and super knowledgeable. They will take the time to coach you through a purchase. What I mean by this is they don't just want to sell you gear, they want to make sure you are buying the right gear for the fishing you want to do. Always nice to stop in to BS, even when I don't really need something.

I hasd three deep sea fishing poles repaired. Nine broke rings replaced perfectly. Fast and affordable service with personable and knowledgeable guys. Can go wrong, one from New England and one New Jersey. By the way they a great selection of gear to boot!

I went there today to get a new fishing rod. I got a new rod for a very good price. I bought the Saint Croix triumph for $90. The workers were very nice and i am going back tomorrow to buy some bait. They are overall a great little tackle shop.
