Showcase Cinema de Lux Revere

If you have never seen a movie in 4D, pick a big action release like one of the Avengers or Star Wars franchises and treat yourself to the action. This is one of the very few locations that offer movies in this 4D genre and it adds a very fun, interactive element to the theater experience. The most surprising thing is that the chairs actually move, almost like an amusement park ride. There are quick bursts of air that come out of different locations, some mild scents and liquid burst and textured rumbles that poke you when relevant in the seat. Well worth the extra money to experience a movie this way.

This movie theater went from drab to fab a couple of years ago when they renovated it. Now all the screening rooms have oversized 'leather' recliners that are soft and comfortable. This is now my favorite movie theater in the area. Not too long ago I went to watch a movie at Assembly Row and I was very disappointed. The seats don't recline except the ones in the front rows (right under the screen) and the ones in the side rows but when you sit there your view is obstructed by a metal bar. The seats are small, flimsy and uncomfortable so I couldn't enjoy my movie. It was a terrible experience. I live in Revere and used to take our cinema for granted but now I appreciate it more. In addition to the regular movie food, they have a bar-restaurant, a pizza place, Nathan's hot dogs and a Ben and Jerry's. They offer plenty of seating in the lobby and they have a small arcade. The place is clean and spacious. I recommend this movie theater to everyone.

I went to this theater last night for the first time to watch I, Tonya and it was THE BEST experience I have ever had at a movie theater. The popcorn was amazing, the food was amazing, the seats were super comfortable and the view I was sitting on was perfect . The whole theater room is really cool. It was a great experience and the staff is super nice. This is my new favorite movie theater to go to. Can’t wait to go again!

Theater looks nice, more food options than most standard theaters. Seats are very comfortable and recline. Our movie was at 1:55 p.m., but we weren't allowed into the theater until that time. The movie started shortly after that, but it was still odd. The theater was also too warm.

Reclining leather seats, 4D theatre options. 3D theater options. Fantastic loyalty program. I've gotten at least $100-$120 in free snack/drink over the years. Pretty decent arcade. There's also a restaurant in house, as well as a large number of concessions.
