It is always great to visit Denver because i might be able to come here! Comfortable seats, entertaining movies, friendly staff and a nice selection of snacks and drinks. Recently got to watch Sisters, with a band playing before the showing and the presenter was fantastic, informative and funny. Thank you for the great evening!
I am very unhappy with the new bathroom policy. I am all for equality and a gender-neutral single occupant restroom, but I do not agree with the current setup. I love going to this theater for the films, but the bathroom situation is ridiculous. It’s my understanding that Denver created gender-neutral rules for single occupant bathrooms, but this code does not apply to restrooms with multiple stalls. Sie Film Center, what was the reason for this change? If it was to make people feel comfortable, it is NOT doing the job. The best way to solve this issue is to offer three types of restrooms, one for men, one for women, and one for those who prefer a gender-neutral restroom. Also, please close the bathroom doors. Bathrooms should offer some privacy.
Awesome theater that plays arrthouse/festival movies. They have various membership options if you want to get extra perks and it's tax deductible. In addition to a concession stand, they also have a well stocked bar. We can't wait to come back for their next installment of Rainbow Cult: Queer Cult Classic Movies
Love this place every time I go. Not every film is great but that's the nature of independent films. But the seats are better than both of the mainstream theaters that I recently saw Avatar in
Without a doubt the coolest movie theatre I've ever been to! The theatres are large, clean, spacious, and comfortable! The concessions are all super reasonably priced, they have a very nice bar available as well. The movie selections are so interesting and unique, it's obvious that a lot of work has been put in curating the films that they do show Thank you Keith Garcia & Theresa Mercado!, and the staff members are all super friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. This is one of the coolest spots in Denver and I recommend it to anyone and everyone! Don't let a lack of prior knowledge stop you from going to see a really cool film you will not regret it!
The Sie FilmCenter pronounced “see” or “sea” is our finest independent movie theater and the home of the Denver Film Society. It shares the Lowenstein complex with the Tattered Cover and Twist and Shout, forming a multimedia Mecca, a cultural rendezvous unmatched in central Denver. Plus, there’s a Chipotle! The FilmCenter itself is an elegant establishment. There is a large, spacious lounge lots of seats and tables, a full bar, and a counter with unique snacks. The three screening rooms are very comfortable, and apparently they were carefully constructed so there’s not a bad seat in the house. The staff members are friendly and helpful. This theater is the center of the annual Denver Film Festival, and it is the most dynamic place in town at that time. It is also host to many special shows and programs throughout the year, from live broadcasts of opera, ballet, and classic drama... to lectures and discussions... to various film series cosponsored by the Tattered Cover. The films typically shown here are strange, provocative - artsy in the best way - and often fun. It’s very important to have choices beyond the Landmark chain, as much as I appreciate them. It’s surprising that in a city of this size there are not more alternatives. The founders of the Sie FilmCenter are were? Anna and John J. Sie. I can feel annoyed at how the wealthy, with their usually ill-gotten gains, provide so much that is needed by our cultural institutions. It can’t be denied, however, that the Sie’s contribution is a gift that keeps on giving to Denver’s film community.
Very small cozy theater seats about 50. Very cool place. I will definitely go back and see other movies there
The Sie Film Center is easy to access from public transportation. it is nestled among several other businesses which providefood and libations as well as the renowned tattered cover bookstore if you arrive early and want to go browsing. there is a lovely small common area shared among the local businesses providing outdoor seating far enough away from traffic to be secluded and quiet. Inside is a comfortable size 2 lobby with a full bar and real, not plastic, glasses. The theater size is big enough but yet still cozy and intimate. Staff are friendly, courteous, competence and smile a lot. I went to a political event held there that was catered and it was very lovely. I highly recommend this venue for a wonderful experience of Denver film culture.
Hands down the best theater I've been to. The staff are always incredibly kind, moreso than anywhere else, and they really care about the experience at their theater. The concessions always taste great there. The auditoriums are amazing too. They've recently upgraded the seating, and the projection and sound quality is great. They also have 35mm, and they show older movies sometimes so look out for those. This will definitely be a theater I'll return to constantly
I'm seeing five films here almost every day in a row soon, that's how much I love this theatre and their selection of films Everyone is so kind and courteous here, very respectful of the movies. Probably my most favorite theatre in Denver so far
