Silver Creek High School

This school is not a safe place for your kids! High suicide rate! Two of my daughter's friends tried to hurt themselves and were pulled out of the school by their parents and sent away because of the spiritual, mental, and emotional abuse and neglect inflicted by the Administration Staff. The Counselors just show up to work every morning with a cup of coffee. They neglect the kids unless they are being threatened with an Attorney. The teachers are puppets. Most of them are really good teachers who care but are blocked and limited by Admin from being there for ALL the kids and instructed to be there for only the favorites. If your middle class to low income please save yourself and your child and go somewhere else. Office Administration take financial bribes from certain parents. They will put a trespass order on an innocent Parent if a Parent with money threatens to pull their funding if Staff doesn't "do something" about the innocent Parent. My daughter was bullied and threatened and nothing was done. They retaliated by having my daughter's teachers give her lower marks than she deserved. Most Teachers are ok but they are afraid of Office Staff. Stay away from Ehle Parker and Eric Ottem. The Principal is not mentally qualified to run a daycare let alone a high school but he bends over so they stuck him in there. Very, very sad sad school and school district. Many schools are safer in CA and NY compared to Silver Creek High School in Longmont. Longmont High or Skyline High are real high schools compared to whatever this is. You WILL regret it or your child will regret going here. This is not a school...its a soul sucking, life draining, dream crushing school that represents death not life. The Staff depend on YOUR childs attendance to prosper their own lives and that of their own kids. A school being run by mentally ill office staff. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I have spoke with many parents who feel the same way about this school. Good luck.

Only good High school in Longmont. LHS And skyline are both trash.

I'm currently an 8th grader at Altona Middle School and I'm going to be an incoming 9th grader. I've heard that this is a recommended and great school to go to. I hope to have a great last 4 years of school except for college at Silver Creek High School. I would rather go to this school because it is walking distance from my home, and the teachers and department are great at Silver Creek. As an incoming 9th grader, I feel like these last 4 years of school there will be awesome.!!!!!!!

My experience was awful. I was happy to be here at the beginning of the year and now I hate it. Almost everyday I was looking for a better school to be at. I am still trying to transfer schools. I hate that a lunch gets nice food and b lunch gets nothing. This is one of the reasons I am trying to transfer schools. To add on to that my math teacher mr.burns. He quit and now we have a substitute teacher for the rest of the year. He quit after the first sumester I would not send your kid here just my opinion.
