I have been to Dr.Simmons numerous times and each time I was treated with friendly, experienced staff who were caring, professional and knowledgeable. I was always given an appointment immediately and did not have to wait. And an added bonus was when I got an injection, which normally is painful or at least uncomfortable , most of the time I didn't even know he gave me one. He is an expert at injections I would recommend him highly. I have always had problems with dry sockets even at a young age and I had one so bad but I could not get away from work so he actually came down to my work and we went in the manager's office and he packed my tooth for me there. He also calls the night of the surgery to find out how I'm doing. He really cares about his patients and goes way above and beyond what he has to do.
Dr Simmons and his staff were very professional and friendly. Extraction was fairly quick and easy. Dr Simmons called me that evening to make sure I was okay and his office called the next day also to check on my well being. I could not have had a better experience from him and his staff.
First I would like to say that the people there are really friendly that is the important thing. The Surgeon had pulled all 4 of my wisdom teeth. They had me on laughing gas which was amazing. The bottom teeth grew in weird so he had a problem getting them out he was a bit rough I could feel so much pressure as he pushed down full force on my tooth to get it out. After the procedure he had prescribed me with Vicodin afterwards and I was on my way. My wisdom teeth had healed in about a week or two it took a while for the swelling to go down but I was working about four days afterwards. About six months later my gums were healed but there was some access gum tissue that was overlapping my tooth as I needed to get a cavity filled in one of them which was the bottom so I had went back in so he could take a look at it. He told me that he would need to burn off the gum tissue, they had a machine that had a pick looking thing that had fire of some sort coming out of it I had never seen it before, it may have been a laser I am not sure but, they did not numb me that well because when he started to pretty much torture me I could feel everything at the part where I was crying because I was in a lot of pain. He is a very nice man but he is really really rough. The work that he had done in my mouth looks like I had been butchered of some sort. It looks really bad, after the procedure he had prescribed me with then again Vicodin for the pain. He did not prescribe me with anything other than that. I went home and about a day later the bleeding had stopped but the pain would not go away. I had my mother look at it and she was concerned about the odor that was coming out of my mouth, I am a very clean girl so stinky breath is a no no for me and she knew that as well. Come to find out I was getting an infection where he had burned off the tissue from my mouth you could see the decay in the wound it was horrid.I am just upset that there was not any Penicillin or anything prescribed to me to not get an infection. other then that he was nice the assistants were nice. It is your call weather if you want to go have him do work on you or not.
Dr. Simmons extracted a tooth recently. After injections of novocaine and 15 minutes I clearly communicated it was not completely numb. He injected again and without waiting for it to take effect he yanked the tooth out.It was horrendously painful and traumatized me.It took over two weeks of repeated calls before reaching him. After sharing my extreme disappointment he offered no apology and became annoyed and a verbal bully. I have been with the same dentist for nearly 40 years and through the many procedures I have never experienced this level of pain, ever. This was entirely preventable. I would like to add his offices are old, smell and his equipment is old. When I asked for music to dispell the noise, all that was offered was an antique walkman with dead batteries. AWFUK EXPERIENCE.
I had a great experience and everything went smoothly. He is a great doctor and knows how to get the job done fast and painlessly
