I am living with an unnecessary, oozing hole in my nipple for the rest of my life. Simpson did a circular punch biopsy, which did not allow the wound to heal. Years later I still suffer from this oozing hole. I saw a plastic surgeon who informed me since the biopsy was done incorrectly, there was no way it could heal, nor can it be corrected.

If not for the work of Dr Simpson I might not be alive. When I had a mammogram that came back fine but I knew better I was immediately referred to Dr Simpson. I got an appointment very quickly. When it was later determined I had advanced breast cancer she did my double mastectomy. She and everyone at the office has been great.

Since it's not possible to give MINUS STAR therefore I 've marked single star which also is non-deserved by her. I am writing review only to to see that others do not suffer at her reckless and negligent hands so Patients BEWARE. Factually, Dr. Brenda Simpson did Mastectomy of right breast. Operation lasted for 90 minutes and while gaining consciousness I heard nurses saying my operation site was bleeding and immediately Dr. Was called. Dr came, I was taken back to operation theatre and I was again given anaesthesia. My operation lasted for five hours in toto. There was 500 cc bleeding bringing down my Hb from 14.8 down to 9. Wound was restitched and was bandaged all around from Neck to naval with pressure. After discharge, when I removed my bandage there was 8" inches big clots of wounds. I was told it was hematoma and artery cut. I developed fever. Dr was un-approachable. Her nurse Taylor Wallace would neither answer nor call me back. I had to rush to Northside hospital in emergency but Dr on duty when called Dr Simpson she instructed said Dr not to touch my wound. I was made to change my dressing myself. Every time I went to see her she would tell me wound would take "couple of weeks" to heal. My wound developed sepsis and I asked for antibiotic. Dr gave me antibiotics but fever did not come down. I approached Dr again and then only she changed antibiotics. It was nightmare for me because if sepsis had reached blood I had to be admitted in ICU. After two months of ordeal, after said negligent surgery, I have come back to my home country, India and showed wound to Dr and they said they have not seen such bad wound and surgery in their entire career. I am advised skin grafting to ensure faster healing. Dr. Simpson ought to have done so to quicken healing. But she did series of neglect in her duty as Dr. I had thought Dr Simpson being from Emory University would be good but reading above proved contrary. I had asked for her contact but she refused to share. When my left breast mastectomy was done in India my stitches healed in 8 days and I had started Yoga within 23 days after surgery.
