Singer Island Treatment Center

I came into treatment thinking I'm going to do these x-amount of days and back to my normal life. Day by day, my mentality started to change. The facilitators and therapists genuinely cared about me and every other client in the facility. To be honest, I miss it and I wish I could go back because of the lessons I've learned while I was there. Without Recovery first I wouldn't know what I'd be doing today with my life. It has changed my mindset for the better and I'm truly blessed to be in the position that I am today.

I did a 30 day inpatient stay. The staff and counselors were wonderful. They do the best they can to make getting sober less painful.

All the pictures that they have posted on there website are total bullshit. Most of those pictures are one little office space at a place called "wellness" where you can go 3 times a week to see a chiropractor etc.. There are a handful of tecs that are in actual recovery, the rest of them are just miserable with there first shift or second shift job. You drive on a packed van 4 times a day to clinicals where you have different classes which are not beneficial. One of the classes I did enjoy but that was it. There was nothing but broken promises here. They told us they would take us to the cheesecake factory and that never happened! Even when we all signed a paper stating why its wrong to lie to a bunch of addicts in recovery, we were all looking forward to that trip since they don't take you anywhere! It was wrong on there part. No one ever knows what is going on at that place. I'm not writing this because I'm mad at them. I just want to warn people who are looking for help but do more research and go elsewhere. This place is a waste of money and a scam. They will tell you whatever you want to hear over the phone just to get you here to collect your insurance money.
