It’s hard for a small business owner to get a credit account here but the service is 5 star. I have been using this place for years now and the entire crew is great especially Ron Bell which is the head guy. He is very knowledgeable and very helpful. They work on all types of trucks and have different departments like a body shop there.
These guys are always great. I am a company guy and they let me call and get in same day if possible. Room to drop your trailer and there is a break room with a vending machine. I have also called for advice when having problem on the road and they suggested some ideas to try. Had a pm done and the check engine lights came in after they pulled the truck out and gave it to me. Went back in and they mechanic came out and fixed it. Cannot comment on price but they do good work. They have fixed my trailer as well, same day, lights, a rivet needed replaced give em a ring... Update 5-24-22 Needed a light on my trailer fixed, top rear d side also was due for a p.m. I called Ron and he said he could get me in for the light but he was too busy for the p.m. When I got there they told me that would go ahead and get the p.m. done cuz they could work me in. So I waited and they got it done today. I also forgot until I was about to leave that the trailer license plate bolts needed replaced, they took care of that as well. Update 7-25-22 Needed a p.m. and I get done early on Mondays. Called Ron who said I probably have to wait for about an hour and a half but he can get me in this morning, which he did. My air line seals were worn and I asked him to replace them or I would replace them and he took care of it for me. I believe I was there about 2.5 hours total which wasn't bad. Took my lunch, fiddled with my phone and made some calls. Like Ive said before, if they can help ya, they will.
Great place! Very helpful! Even though they couldn't help us they sent us in the right direction! Super awesome place.
They aren't the cheapest, but the level of service is excellent. And they they do quality work.
My only experience was on the phone...the guy on the phone told me they dont touch anything older than a 2015...I never heard of such a thing...whatever...i go somewhere else. U not the only shop in town!!!
Call this place to set up an appointment to have a coolant tank replaced on our truck. Last time we was there in April we had a radiator replaced we were allowed to stay in the truck for the 8 hours it took them to replace it. Now we are being told we can't stay in the truck. Funny thing TA/Petro shops allow you to stay in your trucks while they fix it. Sorry we are not a native to the area. And have to much of our personal stuff in the truck to allow just anyone in our cab. Especially since the only waiting area you have last time I sat in it there was guys cussing and all while changing their clothes. Sorry I refuse to subject my wife to that also. Guess that the good ole local shops are not the way to go. Now I am regretting the couple thousand that we spent at your shop in the past on the radiator and batteries.
Left my truck there on Saturday at 10am for a clutch job. They had the truck ready on Tuesday afternoon. Truck was only down for 1 day. The only thing they can improve on is communication with the customer. They never called to let me know that my truck was ready.
We will definitely come here for service when in the area. They took the time to explain things to me a woman and prevented me from spending hundreds of dollars on something that didn't need it. Greatly appreciated.
Be prepared to pay $90 just for a diagnostic, then brace yourself for the quote to actually fix it. I have an import and knew it would be a little more expensive to repair due to availability of parts, but they claimed a rebuild for my alternator would be $450 or I could get a new one for over $600. When I said that was too expensive, the guy got defensive and said I still owed $90 since they took it apart. Ok.. I went to Jim's Auto and Electric near 5th & Sinclair instead. He diagnosed for free and rebuilt for $220. Customer service was outstanding and my alternator looks brand new. I wouldn't trust the dudes at Skinner any further than you can throw them.
I cannot say enough about this place Ron Bell the service manager is a great dude will always treat you fairly never tries to get you to spend money you don't need to spend Mike Skinner the owner is incredibly smart diesel mechanic himself knows his way around a truck Michael and Jack and parts are some really cool people if they don't have the part they will help point you in the right direction to find it and it's literally your one-stop-shop electric radiator joint and clutch trailer repair everything in one site how can you go wrong with this place
