Having not had skyline in 10 years it was a great experience to taste this flavor again. Alison was an excellent server who attended to all I needed. Staff was polite and friendly and could not have asked for a better experience. Will be back frequently.
I eat here whenever in town. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. I find myself always getting a coney and sometimes a 3 way spaghetti.Food: 5/5
Skyline Chili is a bit of an acquired taste. I didn't like it at first as Skyline's chili recipe is very unique, but it grew on me pretty fast. Now I have to have coneys at least once a month. This store is always clean and staffed with well mannered individuals. Service is fast, and price is pretty low. Highly recommend.
Delicious Cincinnati chili. If no you're not from Cincinnati the main attraction is a Chili like sauce on top of spaghetti with a ton a cheese. Great service, saltine crackers are a part of the experience. I enjoy ending dinner with a frozen peppermint York patty and a to-go drink everytime.Food: 5/5
First time here and I fail to see what all the hype is about. This is not chili that most people grew up eating. Must be an acquired taste. Overpowering notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and clove. Having no beans, it's more like a sauce than a chili I'm accustomed to. Each coney dog has at least a cup of cheese on top. I can only guess that they are trying to cover up the horrible chili taste. If you want a good chili 3 ways, my suggestion would be Steak n Shake. They've been around longer 1934 and have a unique, robust chili with beans. If you get it 3,4,or 5 ways they even add an extra ladle of meat sauce on top. Or you can try any other chili in the U.S. that's not Cincinnati recipe and it would be better than this. Sorry
It is a typical Skyline experience, so my rating is based on other Skyline type experiences. I take off a star because the Coney dogs come out sloppy. They almost looked like they just slopped everything on a plate with little to no care about being able to actually pick up the Coney dog without getting your hands all messy. The presentation isn't going to make or break an experience, but I hope they use this review as an opportunity to improve their preparation. Kid-friendliness: I have 3 kids who are ages 2-5 and I feel comfortable taking them here. I feel less like I am being judged by how loud my kids are in this environment and this is a primary draw to going to Skyline.
Yum! Do not base stopping in off the canned chili they sell. Although the canned product isn't bad, you can't go wrong stopping in for ANYTHING with their chili on it!
1st time here, service was good but the food was ok. My son liked his so I guess that's all
A bit disappointed in service. The food is good and I've always been to skyline in Northside. It was just an accumulation of small things. Waitress did not bring a menu, had to ask for one. Then she only brought me one, not my husband. Food was fast, but getting a refill was slowww. Then a waitress started vacuuming. Not a quiet Bissell, but rather a full blown loud vacuum. Couldn't really hold a conversation. Then slow to get bill. Waiting for stuff wouldn't have been an issue had they been busy, but there was only one other table besides us in the entire building. It's not like she was bombarded. We were her only customers. If you have to choose between Dublin and Lewis center, go to lewis center. We've always had reliable service at that location.
I'm from Cincinnati and this place evokes all the feels if hometown eatery for me. Love seeing the owner slinging the 3 ways and coney dogs. Besides his second location on Olentangy near OSU campus, THE best Skyline restaurant in town.
