I usually grocery shop here every week and it's pretty decent, but today I grabbed some cheddar cheese best by date is still three weeks out and found that it was moldy when I got home and went to put it in the fridge. Tried to call to just get a refund only $3 and I was willing to send in pictures of the unopened moldy cheese and the receipt, but Smith's insisted I had to go back to the store to get a refund or switch out the cheese. The time and gas it's going to take me to fix the store's mistake is annoying. So much for Smith's "Fresh Food for Everyone."
The front door glass was broken and a homeless person was lying on the floor inside the store. In the aisle were advertised specific items as "digital deals" with digital coupons. But when you scan the digital icon to "clip" the coupon, you are taken to the Smith's app which I have installed. I am card-carrying member of Smith's, but the coupon is not clipped. Only a bunch a irrelevant screens and choices come up, and finally the app claimed that that there was no Smith's store near me, even though I was literally in the store at the time. I wasted 30 minutes at the customer service counter who had no idea how to clip a digital coupon, although they tried valiantly. When I politely asked the check out clerk to apply the discount, she got all rude and defensive. I asked to speak to the manager, who was even more rude. Literally the rudest service person I have ever encountered. She had no idea how to "clip" a digital coupon, and she refused to acknowledge that there was any problem. She just blamed everything on "corporate," and claimed she had no role in running the store, despite being the nominal manager.
While a great place to shop and amazing employees and service. It seems poorly managed and depend way to much on self check out instead of cashiers and this makes my bigger shopping trips very inconvenient and feeling like I just survived that.???! When the lines are backing up down the lanes and making it impossible to even get around please open up another lane or 3! Pretty please make it a little easier for us patrons.
Never feel safe shopping here after dark. But even during the day I have to keep an eye out when walking from my car to the store and back. Seems like there is always at least one, sometimes two, people standing right next to the entry doors smoking with the secondhand smoke flowing into the store. It just always makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience.
Would give -100 stars if I could. The customer service desk seems to be closed at least half the time, so I could not return a product in two tries. There is no one to help with digital coupons on their cumbersome application. Of course, the main culprit is the management, they clearly do not care about customers as well as their own staff. It is an awful and dirty store.
I ask the cashier’nicely if he would help me with my discounts it was a coupon for 30 dollars discount over. A 100 dollars and he gave me a bad attitude he answered no !like thinking this lady hurry up you holding my line. And customer service sucks the tall guy there thinks he owns the store very mean racist guy
Markita at the Smiths market on 400 s 500 w came to either replace or help the young sleepy uninterested lady at the money center whim I thought was a sleep after standing in line for nearly 25 min. Markita stepped up warm friendly quick and sufficient she got to me who's was the 8 person in line in ten min. She is the perfect example of American customer service and stellar customer relations skills!!!!
This is by far the WORST smiths I've been to. From the upkeep to the ready food they serve. I got sushie and it come completely old. They are to move old sushie to a different section they failed to do so. The bathroom was terrible toilet seat didn't even stay on the toilet. Only good thing was I was able to leave after being let down after a LONG day. I usually love Smith's but this was so disappointing
The lady at the deli area was so mean/rude. She had the worst attitude, and acted as if she was extremely annoyed by you. I’ve never been treated this badly at any store before.
The produce sometimes isn't as good as Sprouts, but generally good. They have several sales and coupons that help you save money. The part I love the most is their free Friday give aways.. every Friday customers get a free product if they have a Smith's card.. generally edible items. You get fuel points while shopping here which you can use at Smith's gas stations to save some money.
