Sol's on the Square

Sol’s is delightful! The food here is flavorful and is the best Korean food in Madison. The experience can be a bit on the long side, so don’t go expecting a quick bite. However, it is 100% worth the wait.

My husband and I were here Saturday 4/13/18 in the afternoon. My husband and I had a great experience for our first visit. We were greeted and seated right away. The menu options had a good amount of variation and I liked that it had pictures displayed next to it. For first timers, it really helps. We didn’t have to wait long for our food. Everything was perfect. I’m not sure how Korean food taste like but it sure tasted authentically. Our food was presented very nicely on the table for us. I got the bibimbop in a hot bowl. WOW... it was delicious. My husband got the squid dinner dish and it was also delicious. We appreciated these dishes because each dish still kept its original flavor. The kimchi was excellent. The server (young gal) and owner (we think it was the man that served us) had great service. Very nice and pleasant. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Madison. Thank you for an awesome experience.

Very small Korean restaurant/bar, place was way too crowded on a Saturday. Its April and they still have Christmas decor up, just think it's funny. Not really kid friendly but have seats for the kids (food wise.) First time eating Korean food and really wasn't impressed, like the reviews hold it at a 4.4 star. Owner made us tip. Wasn't all that. I personally wouldn't come back but I'll retry Korean food again!

Sol's is a wonderful restaurant and experience! The food is authentic and full of flavor. The staff is kind and hospitable. It feels like a local treasure. I look forward to going each time!

The atmosphere is on the cozier side. The staff were all very friendly and genuinely seemed like they cared. What really takes this place above and beyond though, is the food. I ordered the grilled beef and octopus and it was perfect. It had just the right amount of spice to give you a kick, but not enough to detract from the flavor of the food. It was delicious. It also came with rice and 4 sides that we're shared. I will definitely return here.
