Hate to do this but without Song this place just gets worse and worse. Chicken fried rice had no egg, no carrots, no peas. It consisted of oily rice, rubbery chicken, greens onions, white onions, and too much salt. Over fried egg rolls, shrimp rolls, and sweet and sour chicken. After 20 years of patronage I think I’ve given up. The new owners have always been nice but nobody can cook in that place. Sad. Its a longer drive but Golden China in Canton blows this out of water.
This place used to be decent, however, after ~10 years I think i'm done ordering from this place. The past 5 times i've ordered from here the rice is hard, the food is bland to the point i'm adding my own spices to make it have flavor. The last straw was this past trip, the fried rice had nothing but rice in it, I had to cook a bag of veggies, scramble an egg, and add it to the rice myself. There's better food up near Canton at Golden China, it's a long drive if you're in Woodstock but at least you'll get good food.
The food is great. My best friend’s family owns it. I love her and the amazing food at songs garden. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly! Wheelchair accessibility: Very much wheelchair accessibility.
I wouldn't normally describe a restaurant as perfect but Song's Garden is. I've been coming here for 8 years, and it has been consistently delicious, every time. The owners are always there working hard to make sure of this; they are so pleasant. The sesame tofu is my absolute favorite. Most other Chinese restaurants do not offer this. Their fried rice is fresh and cooked to perfection. The veggies are nice and crisp. If you like Chinese food, you will love Song's.
They will not start cooking your order until you have actually paid for it. Defeats the purpose of online ordering. They also lie about how long your order will take to prepare. Probably because you would want a refund. Don't tell me a few minutes when the truth is 23 minutes. This restaurant needs to either fix their website to accept payment or trust the customers to pick up their order. Their health dept score is now a 96 though.
My favorite place to get Chinese food! The family that runs this restaurant are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I love the shrimp lo mein & the egg drop soup. I love that their noodles are thick. They also help you have a better understanding of their menu which is appreciated. I love this place and will definitely keep coming here!
We have ordered from Songs Garden for the past 4 years just about weekly. Their Sesame Tofu is out of this world amazing. Unfortunately, we moved out of state recently and have literally tried 20+ chinese restaurants, searching for a place that can make it as good. Nobody comes close! We miss you, Songs Garden! Vegetarian options: Tofu
I will start off by saying that in the past Song’s Garden has hands down provided the best Chinese food around. They’ve always maintained great prices and portion sizes. However, the past two times we’ve ordered our normal, the food has been tasty but lacking in protein compared to before. I ordered a large *spicy* Mongolian chicken and found 8 pieces in total and lacking severely in spice. I still love this place, just disappointed.
Food is delicious!!! I have yet to find a Chinese restaurant that makes better food. The portions are big so much so that we usually have leftovers which makes me happy because then I get out of cooking a second night. We have been happy with all the selections we have tried; however, we usually come stick to our favorites. The Lo Mein dishes are a favorite in our house.
Local Chinese take out in Towne Lake. Family run, big portions, and consistently great! Not open on Mondays and currently pick up only. Always busy so expect a wait! Thank you Songs Garden for delivering excellent dishes to the community during challenging times and for your friendly service! Love!
