We always have an amazing time here. Had my kids b-day party here last year and this year we went to play laser tag, it was one of the best times I have had in a really long time. I am not really an active person but they got me moving and enjoying every minute of it. Basically they split you up into two teams and you have to protect your base and collect points by shooting the other teams base of you can get to it without being deactivated or shot/shoot enough times to run out of ammo....just an awesome place to go to have fun with the many many other activities they offer like mini golf, batting cages, an arcade and super friendly people working there. Oh can't for get to mention the fire pit to warm you when it's a bit cold and the great food at reasonable prices.

Great venue. Amazing playground for kids and adults. Missing 1 star because of the live band area. The stage is set up in one direction, and the band plays off side stage, because that's where people sit. Also - 1 bar in the back of the band area is limiting. Should be a second bar closer to the band.

I would compare this to an oasis in the desert. An enormous family amusement/dining facility in the quiet town of Somers, CT that is very impressive and offers fun options for the whole family. The entire property is clean, and beautifully landscaped. I ate lunch at the small cafe and was more than satisfied with the quality, portions, selections and price. Our group also enjoyed dessert of ice cream cones and shakes. I highly recommend Sonny's Place for a family fun place to go.

The good: Most (with the exception of one) of the staff there were exceptionally polite and professional. They're young, but still treated us with respect and care and were so nice to my kids. The food was fine, the prices for the food was acceptable. My kids loved the arcade, the laser tag, the go karts and most especially, the VR (dropped the most money there!). The climbing wall staff were SO nice and sweet and cheering the kids on, they went above and beyond to make the kids feel good about themselves. The bad: The arcade machines took our money from the card, but many times, the game didn't work, so we swiped again, and was charged twice, sometimes 3x. The bowling, we were charged FOUR times for one game. Every time we swiped, it didn't look like we did, it kept acting as if we didn't, but it charged the card, so we swiped again. That was $16, lost. And when I went to the counter to get it back on, the line was *so* long, after 10 mins of waiting, I had to go find my kids in the arcade, so we lost easily, $25 bucks in the arcade to machines that were not responding. That's enough reason for us not to go back. The second complaint I have is that the woman who was running the playground structure was shockingly rude. I showed up with my 3 kids and one of them was 1/2 in. too tall for the structure. I asked her to measure him again and she rudely said, "What do you think, he shrunk in the last 5 seconds?!" and rolled her eyes. I was mortified that she talked to me that way at all, never mind in front of my children. Their rule about the height for that structure is strange, as there were tall children in there with small children, but because my kid was 1/2 in too tall (wasn't w/out shoes, but she wouldn't let him take his shoes off), my kids, who were shorter than most kids in there, could not go in. It didn't make sense, but her rudeness was over the top and I'm still shocked about it. Everyone else there was amazing. I can't say we'd go back (an hour drive), as I dropped $170 bucks there, lost a lot at the arcade to non responding machines and when I talked to the manager about my child who was 1/2 in. too tall, asking him if my kids could please go in (they are all 8 years old), he did not care at all and just said no. It was raining, there were 4 kids in there (3 were about 11 yrs old and taller than my kids, but b/c they were with a short kid, they could go in...). We were there for hours, waiting for the go karts to open back up and my kids just wanted to play in the structure, but at 8 years old, they couldn't. And the manager didn't at all seem to care that we spent so much money there and he was a little rude. I would expect a little more and him to overlook the 1/2 in. as it was raining, there were hardly any kids in the structure (and were taller than my kids) and I spent so much there. It's not like my kids were teenagers. They're 8!! My kids had a good time, but rated the place a 5 out of 10 - the rude woman upset them too, plus all the money we lost at the arcade. I would have said something to the manager, Chris, but he had already blew me off, so I didn't feel he was approachable about the arcade issue. You'd think at a family place like that, the manager would be a little more receptive. I felt like we didn't matter to him or to the woman at the play structure.

My kids loved it here. We had a blast, great for a fun family day. My husband and I loved listening to the live band while our kids hit the batting cages.
