mitchell horowitz is the best eye doctor i ever met. i bought perscription lenses in walmart optics 1 month ago, they gave me sizes that doesnt match to my eyes.doctor mitchell gave me new perscription that is exactly what i needed and he checked my eyes for infection as well. 5 stars, those guys are professionals, i reccomend to all my friends to go there

I can't say enough good things about this business. They are kind, prompt and very thorough. Above all else, they were incredibly patient with my finicky 4 year old son. He had a great first eye doctor experience! Thank you!

My family has been seeing Dr Horowitz for years and he has helped us substantially. He recognized my daughters need for vision therapy at a young age, and is now treating my son and daughter for Myopia. Due to their needs, we go every three months now so I’ve gotten to know him and his staff well. They are always great with the kids, kind to me, and incredibly professional. Don’t think twice about going to see Dr. Horowitz. You won’t be disappointed!

I have today paid my last visit to South Shore Eyecare Associates. I’ve been going here for about 25 years and the service has gotten worse. The glasses are over priced, and today’s the first time they wanted to charge me $10 to change the nose guards on glasses purchased there. My recent pair of glasses took about a month to get, they stated that the wrong lenses were put in I needed to be sent back. That is fine, however I called them several times by waiting for the glasses and they had no idea where they were. They blame the insurance company for their lack of following up to find where my glasses were. I finally received the glasses and they claim the glasses are inspected by two individuals, however somewhere along the process one of the screws holding in the lens was either stripped or lost, and a longer sharp replacement screw was put in. this larger screw was scratching my hand. The glasses sales people blamed it on the insurance, And they weren’t sure how we got through their inspections. Glasses sales people are rude, however they said I was rude. This place takes no responsibility for anything, it’s always everyone else’s fault. I have had friends go to this place I received the wrong prescriptions, this also happened more than once with them. They no longer come here. Avoid this place if you can

I’ve been going here for almost 30 years now. Dr. P is the best!! Highly recommend to everyone. Their office is in Staten Island NY and we live in NJ and we still go there all these years.

Fantastic service & staff. The doctors provide excellent care, the opticians help you select quality glasses that look great and make you truly feel good about yourself. The rest of the optical team members are equally kind and professional. The front desk staff are attentive and welcoming. Shout out to Dr. Horowitz, Dr. Pirozzolo, Dr. Blazier, and opticians Mauro, Nancy, Joanna, and Suzanne who have all personally assisted me and provided care to me over many years, in person or virtually. I highly recommend South Shore Eyecare Associates.

I’ve been a patient for years! I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Dr Horowitz and Nancy Civitello are why I keep going back! My eyes get the best of care with both of them!

Dr. Horowitz is by far the best eye doctor. Extremely knowledgeable and always has a solution for any problem. Great bedside manner. Such a kind mild mannered person. Love him!
