Southern Pride BBQ

This place has some great potential, too bad the folks that run it don't seem to be aware or care that they are falling short. Came here last Sunday and the place was closed even though the sign says from 11:00 until sold out. Came in to eat today to a sign that said they weren't opening until 11:30. When we were finally able to get inside the it didn't appear they were ready to do business. The nachos and brisket were good but could have been great with just a little TLC. The brisket and nachos were both luke warm, which seemed odd given the fact that we were only the second people to be served that day. It also took quite a bit longer than it should have to get those items. Which might explain why the food wasn't hot. The staff seems indifferent, not rude but not welcoming either. I really hope ownership reads this and takes notice because they really aren't living up to their potential.

I ordered the BBQ nachos at 11:05 this morning to be picked up at 11:20. I was asked my name for the order then hung up on.I arrived at 11:18 the open sign was lit up and the door locked. I stood outside the door for 5 min calling with no answer. I looked through the door and started knocking. A young man walked to the door and I said did y'all forget to unlock the door he said and I quote "Oh well mistakes are made". My nachos were cold and soggy. Very disappointed. They not only lost my business but another elderly man walked of shaking his head when the door was locked. Not good business.

Been ordering BBQ nachos every Friday night for months. They were 5 star! Last 2 times, seemed a little skimpy on the pulled pork, tonight....barely any meat, watery cheese and the nachos were cold even though I picked them up 15 min after I ordered. Service is usually great but this time I'm really disappointed. We're only one family, but we were loyal, regular customers and would have continued to be until today. Everywhere has off days but we have seen a steady decline in quality and service and that's unfortunate because we have been raving about this place for months!

Love the staff.. And the bbq nachos are awesome. Only suggestion would be to charge an extra dollar or two and load up the meat on it. The meat portion was skimpy. Once I added extra pulled pork though.. It was awesome. I try the nachos at every bbq place I go to. And since the departure of "WPF bbq" in Horn Lake.. I havent found any that were just great. Now I have. 5 stars for sure

I really enjoyed the great customer service. I had a sandwich with beans and fries. The food was very good (great flavor). I will definitely be back!
