From my authentic Chinese appetite, it is very and super authentic Chinese food, the restaurant is mostly for delivery. Very nice employees. The food have already made and placed in the hot tub, so you go in and pick your own with either white rice or brown rice. 7-10 dishes total, you can pick either 2 items or 3 items, and how ever many add-ons you would like. The dishes are about $4 -$5 each. Not really family style. But the food are very authentic, surprisingly great as a brand new Chinese restaurant in early 2019. The delivery boxes are very pretty.
This place recently opened and it looks like they get pretty good business. Their food looks authentic and looked and smelled delicious when staff was recommending dishes. Their ordering style is simple and they pack it for you in to-go ready boxes. Their honey pork is soooo good, but just a bit dry. I also liked their short ribs and spicy chicken. However, their short ribs were oily and a bit dry. You choose white or brown rice, then your choice of 2 or 3 entrees! Their brown rice was very good and their entrees were flavorful and yummy. Be careful, there are two entrees that are an additional charge! Staff was nice and very helpful! I recommend this place for a quick bite, casual date, family, or group hang out.
After going for the first time, I can tell it will be my favorite Chinese restaurant in town. It might be the only authentic one that makes me think of the taste of China. It serves a variety of food from different parts of China and all have a great taste. Pickled gizzards is my favorite and you gotta try it if you never had gizzards before. Now I am a Spicy Hop fan. If you love spicy food, Spicy Hop is a must-try!
Like this restaurant, very familiar Chinese mainland flavor at a reasonable price! The spicy hop chicken and black pepper beef are my favorite, and the chicken is real Chinese spicy, not sweet at all! Hope to see more options in the future!
The best Asian food I have ever tasted. I loved the red braised pork and garlic broccoli the most. My husband loved the chicken gizzards and beef the most. All six items we tried were extremely delicious but those 4 were our favorites. We most likely return on a weekly basis. The staff was exceptional; everyone was polite and helpful. Everyone should try this place.
This place is fantastic. My husband loves spicy food but me not so much. They have a fantastic tofu salad which was perfect for me. My husband had a spicy pork dish that he said was fantastic. The manager is extremely nice and accommodating. We will definitely make a return trip.
Amazing amazing amazing!!!! I’ve spent a good amount of time in China, and my wife is Chinese. We’ve been to nearly every authentic place in town. Spicy Hot brings is exactly the type of food we love. Authentic, spicy and delicious. I love the mix and match style, perfect for carry out. Grab a tea from the Brewed Lead across the street and you’re in for a great night! Edit: This place is now a hot pot restaurant with the same name
Slaaaaapppinnnn!!! One of the most unique menus I've ever seen. The nice woman at the counter let me try a few things and there wasnt anything I didnt like. Where else can you get spicy chicken gizzards, and pork brain? You get three entree options and rice. I got the gizzards spicy, seared pork ribs, and the beef spicy. The flavor is unique, complex, and addictive. You also get seaweed soup for free! Definitely going to be a regular spot for me!
Great authentic Chinese food. Three single serve portions and rice for the price that you’d expect to pay for a single dish at a sit-down restaurant. Many options to choose from. Great for take-out ate while studying.
Spicy Hop was delicious and the food was very well seasoned. We tried the garlic broccoli, tomato eggs, spicy hop chicken, crispy honey pork, Szechuan minced chicken. We liked all of them, but would suggest more tomatoes in the tomato eggs. Portion sizes were perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!
