This might be the best Hot pot experience I've ever had in my life! The skewers are all so delicious and it was great to pick and choose exactly what we wanted and how much of it. The place is authentic and I needed my Pepto-Bismol cuz it was spicy. Not to mention, very affordable!Food: 5/5
A unique hot pot experience, and certainly recommended if you're with a larger group. All skewers are self-serve you're charged by the skewer, so prices are actually not bad at all if you know what you want. The beef wraps some with jalapenos, others with other vegetables are incredibly interesting and surprisingly tasty. Not sure if it was just the day we went, but the regular beef cubes were not good at all. Seafood was more or less fresh, though the selection isn't huge. All in all a solid experience.
Came here for lunch on a cold winter Sunday, nothing better than a spicy hotpot in a cold day. This place is traditional skewer style hotpot, each stick is 60cents very affordable. The decor throughout brings you to the old town beijing vibe. We had the half half, with their traditional spicy pot on a half and pickled radish duck pot on the other side in case some of them we don't want to be spicy. I consider myself can take a good hit and ordered the medium spicy I think it's perfect for me. It's spicy enough not to ruin the flavor but still get you some numb and spicy tickle on your lips. A lot of the skewers already marinated in spicy so when you cook in the broth adding extra flavor. There are fridges of different skewers you can pick whatever you want, they just come back and count the sticks in the end. Some of the small dishes you need to order from the menu such as the sliced beef or lamb. And some cooked appetizers. The staffs are all very friendly. It was our first time so they introduced how everything works and recommend some popular broth base. And they came back frequently to refill our water, refill broth and change our dirty plates.
Came here for the first time with some friends and would highly suggest this to anyone who is new. Hotpot is very simple but while you can order a certain quantity of meat, this place let's you see everything there is to offer and you can grab what you're in the mood for. Beautifully decorated and fantastic for not only food but the experience. Upbeat and fun atmosphere. The food is amazing. We got the pork bone and spicy beef broths and they were delicious on their own and even better when dunking meats in. We also got the wagyu slices, beef slices and lamb slices and all the meat we ordered was savory tender and delicious. The other sides and veggies that were self serve were plentiful and one of my favorite things about it were the mushroom wrapped meat sticks. Like they take the enoki mushroom and wrap it around some beef so it's like eating a nice bite of noodle and meat. Definitely recommend and will be going back soon. Photos soon! Oh yeah I finally made the best sauce I have had in a while. Great sauce station. Also whenever I eat hotpot I usually stay away from anything noodle based because I have been disappointed but they had these things flat rice noodles that blew my mind and the shrimp dumplings were dynamite.
I came here with two of my Chinese friends, what an amazing experience! I’m vegetarian and I had a lot of amazing options ranging from hotpot to sweet dishes. The broth/soup for hotpot was vegetarian base, and there were so many skewer options. I’m really satisfied!
This is really something to try. Skewers to really make you go nuts. Many coolers to store fresh meat, seafood and veggie skewers. Sauces to explore every taste. Many to choose from and you can try everything you want. This is not a traditional hot pot, it has a twist or two. It’s very original and fresh 100%Recommended dishesMixed Fruit Tea, spicy pig brain, Two-Brother Hot Pot, Sauce Bar, Hot and Regular Broth, Soup Base, Sliced Beef, Sauce, Sauce Station, Variety Skewers, Duck Tongue, Traditional Spicy Beef Dripping Pot, ice pudding, Mashrooms, Beef Noodles, Dipping Sauce Mix Your Own
I visited this hotpot restaurant with my friends last week. The highlight of my culinary adventure here was undoubtedly the sour radish & duck broth, the tomato broth also tasted well. Dining in with tomato broth, sour radish & duck to go. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring our hot pot experience was seamless. The ambiance of the place, with its warm lighting and comfortable seating, made our meal even more enjoyable. For anyone venturing into Flushing and looking for an authentic hot pot broth experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. The sour radish & duck broth, tomato broth highly recommended. It's not just a meal; it's a culinary journey that tantalizes the taste buds and leaves you craving for more.
This is a good hot pot place to check out. The broth is very flavorful and authentic. The skewers come in a great variety of meat and vegetables, with some of their own innovative pairs e.g., green pepper and beef. The service is a bit disappointing since the staff was very unorganized. They had three staff members coming asking exactly the same questions within 5 minutes, really making me annoyed.
As a Chengduness, I wanted to try this place many times before but gave up due to long wait during meal time. There were heavy rain this weekend so less crowded and we finally get to try it. We were their right when they open at 12 and got to set in a private room. We ordered the twin pot with spicy booth and tomato booth for kids. The skewers are 60 cents per stick, bit on the high side especially for the veges. We end up with 92 sticks, 3 trays of meat and 2 trays of noddles. $130 before tip. The pot is $20. So it would be better to have 4-6 friends to enjoy it together. Flavor wise, it's okay, no wow moment. I made both wet sesame oil with garlic based and dry chilli and peanut powder based dipping plate as how Chengduness would normally eat :
Too little, a bamboo stick, a thin layer of beef and a little order, a bunch$0.6It's super expensive, the meat selectivity is very little, and so are the dishes. Chicken is pickled and spicy. Originally, children can eat it. As a result, children can't eat it that day ... Calculated by bamboo sticks, the amount on many bamboo sticks is super small ... The bottom of the pot is good, but it's OK on the whole. It's just that it's too stuffy to eat hot pot, and it's unacceptable for children to be steamed by hot air all the time. I hope the store can make a slight improvement and can't bully children ...
