This place is just amazing!!! Atmosphere and layout is beautiful and charismatic. Food was delicious and spicy! I'm from the Caribbean and we love spices. Very authentic Thai food and they have pictures in the menu which was a plus to see what we were ordering. I must say, they have the best sake mojitos I have ever tasted and I could drink them all night long. I definitely recommend here for date night, friends night or whatever and you don't have to travel far into Manhattan since we are from Brooklyn.
Everything came out good! Love the calamari! The rolls were prepared fresh. We enjoyed the cocktails and dessert as well. Can’t wait to go back. Loved the vibe in here as well.
Pretty authentic and affordable. Their service was very professional and friendly. The place was clean and comfortable. We ordered basil fried rice and noodle soup with coconut-based curry, both of which tasted very fresh and kicking! Loved the spiciness level. They do have roofed outdoor seatings, one section on the street and another on the sidewalk. Strategically located nearby metro stations in the Little Thailand part of Queens.
I have been going to Spicy Shallot for about 10+ yrs. Seen a lot of changes made but the menu is consistently delicious. Our favorites are the tuna avocado roll and the whole red snapper hits all the notes.
The food here is pretty good. I’ve come here since before the renovation and the quality of their food has stayed true and yummy. The staff is really friendly and attentive. The drinks are always on point. I’ve usually always just have noodles or sushi or both haha The sticky rice and mango ice cream dessert isn’t that great though so I’d probably skip dessert from here. The reason it’s not 5 stars is because their bathroom is always dirty and the music is so bad, it’s extremely pop and it’s hurts my head. I wish they had more neutral or different types of genres playing. Not everyone loves pop that much.
This was a great find. The menu is a combination of Thai and Sushi. I had the biggest Thai tea ever, a incredible Snow Crab Roll, a baked dish with scallops, shrimp and salmon and for dessert I had a Thai custard with black rice cake. Everything was delicious and the service was incredible.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
Delicious food with so many varieties to choose from. I had a hard time to make decisions what to order due to they all look so good!! Dine in atmosphere is really good that I felt really comfortable and relax. The staffs there are very professional and friendly. Would totally come back over and over again!
This is a really nice Thai restaurant in this neighborhood. My friends absolutely love this place so they took me to try it out. It was worth visiting the place. Well decorated and good food. I loved their tom yum soup and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend this. Their tamarind duck was full of flavors and you get this small kick of tamarind when you taste it. The skin was crispy and the meat was juicy inside. My next favorite was the mango shrimp salad. It had kind of sweet and sour taste. The pad thai noodles and the thai fried rice was same as most of the other thai places. Their fish items are highly recommended by the staffs if you like fish.
I love almost everything about this place. The new decor is very cute, friendly staffs, great food and alcohol lol my favorite has to be the papaya salad from here as well as the Japanese rolls. I like that they have various options for food. They just have everything!!
If you want to dine in an authentic thai restaurant, dont miss Spicy Shallot. The restaurant is warm, and the food is perfectly plated that makes it more appetizing to eat. We ordered the crispy curry duck, steamed fish, crab cake with cream cheeze, spicy mango margarita and thai tea. everything tasted so good but the crab with cream cheese is amazing. i think i can eat more than 2 servings. parking is a challenge though so you can just rely on the street parking which most of the time full esp during rush hours. Parking: no parking just side street parking
