One of the best cafes in the neighborhood. Their service is completely another level from what you would regularly experience at similar kinds. They are organized, attentive yet not pushy, friendly in the boundary of respectfulness. The breakfast and coffee I had were great as well by the delightful glass wall toward the first avenue.
First impression: amazing! Me and a friend only went for drinks and we found great service and good vibe and music. The espresso martini was really good. We definitely want to go back and try their supposedly delicious food!
Awesome motorbike friendly place. It manages to tread between biker cafe and family friendly diner without seeming forced or disingenuous. The coffee is strong, as are the Bloody Mary’s. The brunch choices are fairly straight forward pancakes, eggs etc but all done to a high standard. Best of all, the wait staff were all friendly and approachable. Reservations are possible via email. Best of all, it’s one of the few places to watch the MotoGP in lower Manhattan. Bonus points for that.
We stayed in the city last night to see the Sataang show. Woke up in the city on a Monday morning with a huge appetite. I searched for some breakfast joints that were walking distance to our hotel. And Spiegel was the one that spiked our interest. Happy to say we were thrilled with our lattes, and our breakfasts! I got an eggwhite omlette with mixed greens and the matcha latte with almond milk! It was delightful! Bf got the chai latte, and the poached egg with cilantro and ginger and pita bread to dip into sauce. I tasted his it was great and he was extremely happy with my choice for breakfast! All around good vibes good music good food! Goodjob guys!
Shakshuka was amazing! So so good. The waffles and fried chicken was also spectacular - definitely needs more gravy though, be sure to ask for extra on the side! The coffee was okay, was expecting better, but the food more than made up for it. Highly recommend and definitely plan to be back. Looking at that green shakshuka for next time!
Really good motorcycle themed restaurant practically in the heart of Manhattan. "Spiegel" means mirror in German probably Yiddish too in case you were wondering :. The coffee is absolutely the best I've ever had, it's hard to describe it if you don't need to add anything into it.
Cute and eclectic little restaurant. Very relaxed environment, kind and helpful staff and good food. Tried something new today, Sabich salad and it was pretty good. I’ll be back again to try the breakfast menu because it looks delicious.
Great casual cafe restaurant. Food and drinks are fantastic. Hummus with a variety of toppings are great to share. The Spiegel Salad is best salad in NYC hands down. Staff is always awesome. If you're into motorcycles even just a lil bit, you'll fid someone here to chat it up with. Great Two Wheel Tuesdays, through the riding season. Get your but there if you haven't already.
We ordered to go breakfast and they forgot the side dishes and it took them wayyy to long to cook eggs and we where the only customers there, french fries taste bad and shakshuka is very salty . disappointing...
Their Israeli breakfast is hearty yet light; look okay the picture. Three eggs hearty properly over medium light. Pita bread hearty with a lot of air light. Labne hearty but small and with that beautify Israeli salad light. Fries hearty but very soft and with no leftover oil light. Their Turkish coffee was proper as well. Also shout out to the staff for taking great care of us while we had an elongated brunch at the bar.
