I worked with Stephanie Samson Reed and my experience was incredible! I have been an athlete my whole life and an avid runner. Additionally I love long walks. I developed severe heel pain and back pain and it lasted for 13 months. I had 2 foot X-rays and 1 back MRI. I was diagnosed with Posterior Tibia Tendon Dysfunction which was causing plantar fasciitis and a heel spur. The Dr's gave me the advice of braces, insoles, orthopedic shoes, and not do do much on my feet. 5 miles is just really far to walk I was told. This would be my new life. For one year I accepted it and that's what I did, yet the pain continued. I was beyond frustrated! I went to Stephanie and instantly on the first visit she recognized the problem. She found that I had lost all muscles in my foot this was of course from always being braced up 100% of the time. My foot was weak and my arch had collapsed flat foot. I walked with a limp which I had no idea of and my whole body was misaligned, hence the back pain. I continued to see her and she gave me exercises to do, which I did religiously, as well as recommended being barefoot more often. No braces! No insoles! No orthopedic shoes! I have been 100% pain free for over a month both foot and back. I now can understand how very weak my foot was and Stephanie helped me to build the strength back up and to finally get my life back. I'm back to frequent walks and starting to jog again. Stephanie gave me the tools to manage this condition and to understand how my body is moving. I would highly recommend Spine & Sports, especially Stephanie, if you have any kind of aches and pains!!
I was first referred to Spine & Sports Injury Center to resolve what seemed to be a groin injury. I met with Dr. Green, who gave me a full work-up, which led to several very good recommendations. One being that the groin tightness could be related to a hip injury. Fast forward, after speaking to an orthopedic surgeon, it was determined that I indeed had issues in hip and eventually had full hip replacement surgery. Second, recommendation was to go to PT at Spine & Sports to re-gain flexibility and mobility as it related overall and specifically to hip. I met on a regular basis with Stephanie Sampson Reed, who was OUTSTANDING. Through thoughtful conversation and analysis, she was able to determine what needed to be worked on, and gave me exercises to utilize when I was on my own. Stephanie helped me get stronger and more agile overall, and more importantly, readied me for my hip surgery. She always said, "the stronger you go in, the stronger you'll come out". She has helped me in preparation and recovery. All of which was done seamlessly working with my insurance. I am a BIG FAN of Spine and Surgery Injury Center...and of Dr. Green and Stephanie Sampson Reed!!! and would highly recommend all of the above.
I have been working with Stephanie Samson Reed for over 3 years now. I was referred to Stephanie by my shoulder surgeon at New England Baptist. I have had multiple orthapedic surgeries elbow, shoulder, hip from a past of college football and now training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Stephanie is hands down the best I have ever worked with. She is a high caliber athletes who still actively competes in CrossFit. That, plus her past work as a Physical Therapist with the Canadian Olympic team and now multiple years here in Boston gives her a vast knowledge. She has been able to treat numerous injuries of mine both pre and post surgery and is a large reason why I have been able to come back even stronger. I without question recommend her. Added bonus is that she does dry needling as well if you dare!
I have seen Carly for two different injuries. Both issues were resolved. Carly was professional, explanatory, and each time I left the appointment with a number of exercises and tips for keeping my body in good health. The offices are clean and the employees are a pleasure to be around. Carly has kept in touch with me, is quick to respond to my emails and I know is always there if I have any questions. I highly recommend Spine and Sports Injury Center to help with PT needs.
My first ever visit to a chiropractor was with Dr. Cooper at Spine and Sports Injury. I had been dealing with back pain for over a year and had yet to try a chiropractor as a potential remedy. Dr. Cooper easily assessed my situation and made several adjustments that helped immediately. I had a wonderful experience and have not felt better than I have after my appointments. If you have any hesitation for going to a chiropractor, take the jump and go see Dr. Cooper. Top marks to Dr. Cooper.
I worked with Carly Stote after experiencing TMJ pain - I had pains in my cheeks and fullness in my ears and it started to affect me everyday. To start, Carly made sure she asked me questions about how I was feeling, what my daily activities are and what my work environment is like. Once she had a feel for my pain level and symptoms she used her dry needling technique in both my cheeks and my shoulders where she thought my muscles were most tight. After a few treatments I started noticing results and my pain decreased immensely. Carly also gave me techniques to work on my symptoms in my day-to-day when I’m not receiving treatments. She was awesome to work with and I would highly recommend her!!
Went in a couple months ago with extreme lower back pain. Dr. Green and his team of physical therapists have been awesome and I’m happy to say my back feels so much better. I highly recommend them.
Stephanie was fantastic, truly a talented PT - one of the best I have ever worked with.
