Found this spot after looking at all the photos and decided to try it out - so happy I did. The selection of nail designs is awesome and the salon was quite busy so I was very excited - and I was right. Everyone who came out of the seat while I waited had such beautiful manicures - just like in the photos - and when I explained the sally what I wanted - she gave me the exact nails I wanted for my vacation. They lasted all week - not a single chip or crack - and I got a ton of compliments. They understood exactly what i wanted. I recommend Splendor Nails Spa and Hair to anyone and I can't wait til my next mani. Beautiful job.
I got my nails done here. I was nervous to go at first since I had not made an appointment and I was worried about sitting at a nail counter so close to other people with the COVID scourge being what it is. I made sure I went early in the morning and when I got there I only had to wait 15 minutes. There weren’t many people in the salon so I was sat far away from other people which was nice. My nail artist wore her mask the whole time and wore it properly so that also made me feel better. There was a woman getting her hair done at the same time and I felt like the precautions taken could’ve been better but regardless, I didn’t feel at risk since I was sitting so far away. The quality of my manicure was very nice. Usually gel polish peels off in about a week but it last for a little longer than that so I was happy. I am not going to include a picture since it was such a basic manicure that it’s not really of note. I am planning on going back soon for something more special so I’ll try to share pictures of that so you can judge the quality of work for yourself. Update: got shellac tips and they came out great! Update: got SNS dipping powder nails and they came out great too.
It’s in the neighborhood, so I’m giving it a few more stars based on convenience. My nail tech is out of the country so I decided to give them another chance. I opted for a French gel and had to have my sns soaked off. While I’m willing to pay for quality, the $47 paid does not match the service. Especially looking at the pics in other reviews, there are far better options in terms of quality and techniques. French Manis take patience and I feel like the tech had no attention to detail. Additionally, I asked him to remove the paint off my skin and he still didn’t take the time to correct his work.
Planned to get SNS nails, but the nail tech said I needed to call in advance for colored tips. Luckily she said it would be super easy to do gel and I didn’t have a preference. She did the gel and she did a fabulous job! Kept complimenting my nails throughout and did a good job of recreating the picture including picking out the perfect shades for the natural and colored parts. She was fast but thoughtful! End result looks amazing! Would recommend.
Got a French dip manicure here yesterday. Tylery did a great job & really listened to my preference on nail shape I don’t want them the same. Will come back!
Lily is the sweetest person in the world and is AMAZING at what she does. My mani pedi came out flawless and she was such a joy to talk to. I will be back to check out their waxing and hair salon services. I also chatted with Lala and she was so knowledgeable and sweet. The salon itself is gorgeous and pristine. Hands down the best salon experience I’ve had in DC. Thanks Lily and Lala!
I've been looking for a new salon for a couple months now, The one by my house closed down and I just wasn't happy with their work, I decided to get on google and just search around. Finding Splendor Nails Spa and Hair has been the best thing of 2022. I got a full acrylic set with gel polish, and a spa pedicure. And I can't tell you how amazing it felt! I'm already counting down till I can go back and get my nails done again! My experience with Splendor Nails Spa and Hair has been over the top. They are quick with response. And have so many nail design options!
I went here yesterday for a gel pedicure. It was nicely done so I thought. I woke up this morning and one toe has no polish on it. How is this possible? I'm going on vacation this week. Pedi done by Tyler.Service: Gel manicures
This is my third time going there. Lily made my appointment with Ken. Suggested price was about $70, I went in there before time. Ken came promptly to help me out & which is good. He pretends that he understand English. But it looks he did not even understood that I said several times I do not like glittery nail polish. Sure enough it is the one that I do not like it.Additionally, Ken smartly added a leg message with Lavender for probably 1-3 minutes which should have been added with normal price. So, I am very disappointed with the place as hardly people understands English. It is my time to look for another place. I usually don’t spend money for this unless I need it before an occasion as I am allergic to chemicals. I spend $ 87 for nothing. I could have used this money who need it for their education payment or genuine bill payment. Oh well, I would suggest teach Ken little more English & honesty & then get his service.Services: Pedicure
I’ve visited multiple times with mixed experiences. On some occasions I’ve been very pleased, but on multiple occasions I have left disappointed. On my most recent visit, I received a dip manicure and regular pedicure. I selected a color for my dip nails and asked the technician to find a somewhat close match for my toes. He found a gray that was several shades darker than the silver I selected for my nails but I thought it was fine. In the end, as my nails were near final stages in the correct dip color, the tech painted a shellac in the much darker color on my nails with the intent of matching the color to my toes. He did not communicate this before hand. I can see the misunderstanding, but would have preferred much better communication. Further, the work was sloppy and I had dipping powder left on the skin under my fingers Which is the correct pale gray that I selected - much different from the darker gray for reference.
