The Tradition upon which we stand is as old as Jesus and his spiritual ancestors. What we do is based on ancient patterns - worship; caring for the poor and the lonely; working for justice and peace; education and formation of Christian minds and souls.
We are for the dignity of every human being and for the need to serve and love our neighbors. We are for the importance of everyone's spiritual journey, regardless of where they are on that journey. We are for the value of community, the reality of life's challenges and the sacredness of every person. And we are for a "user-friendly" church experience for individuals,families and children. And we are for sacred liturgy and music.
We are against having all the answers; bigotry; authoritarianism; certitude in the face of ambiguity; superficial answers; indifference to injustice; bad music and blissful ignorance.
We value open hearts, open minds, open arms; faith; staying rooted and staying current; discussion that allows for mutual respect; anyone's effort to seek a closer relationship with God in Christ; and a caring community.
