St Kilda Coffee

About

Bringing Melbourne's coffee culture to the concrete jungle one flat white at a time!

Story

It all started when one of the owners backpacked the east coast of Australia. After months of backpacking through the entire east coast and various odd jobs including working at a banana farm in the tropical Queensland, he finally landed in Melbourne! Being overwhelmed by the intensity of coffee culture in the great city of Melbourne, he decided to bring that same concept to New York City. The concept of culture/art/chilled out ambience in a finite space of a coffee shop is what we felt was missing in this giant city. So we decided to open a coffee shop right in the heart of midtown! Two blocks away from the chaos of Times Square, you will find us "St Kilda Coffee" at 328 West 44th str. Rightly named after a neighborhood in Melbourne where one of the owners worked and lived during his time in Oz.

As a third wave coffee shop, we take pride in our beans. And we are so honored to be able to source through Direct Trade. Our beans come from Birch Coffee, who work directly with coffee farmers in long-term, mutually supportive relationships.

So come check us out if you're in the mood for a flat white, single origin cold brew or a Nitro!

Quality coffee with so much care taken in the selection of beans! Loved it! They sell beans from all over as well and even give you the best brew methods for each one. Really appreciated it. Favorite coffee in NYC during my visit.
Great coffee, lovely place and very good customer service. Will definitely come again!
Cool hip little coffee shop 2 blocks off Times Square. It has some street steps to go down to get in. Good music, good coffee.
Hidden spot. Excellent coffee. Great service from Angela. Small outdoor seating, too.
Cute little spot with free wifi. Only been once to work at my Mac and spent couple of hours there.
Cappuccino was good. A bit strong but a good flavor. The chocolate was very good. Service is great, the location is cozy and nice. The muffin was a bit boring and not well done. So this is why not rating for 5 stars.
Loved my Americano. Tasted so fresh and uniquely sour
Went here twice while visiting NYC, So glad we found this awesome cafe. It is down a small staircase with only a sandwich board on the sidewalk to let you know it's there. The coffee was top notch and the Melbourne namesake made me smile also.
