Had THE worst experience here and not even wearing long maxi dresses saved me from these wolves. I was a parishioner at St Nektarios church of Charlotte NC and unfortunately had to move to Wilmington. Im born raised in Greece, a fitness athlete and have worked at Hooters and done modeling. Of course to churchians these are immoral practices. This is a small prudish clique from Ikaria island and the ppl are mean, dirty minded and authoritative. The women stop talking to you and just gossip about you, even the 10 yr old girls are bullies here. VERY Christian of them. Ive even had psycho greek men tell me to not wear makeup and be a plain jane. As for helping those in need, theyd call me to sell me blessing services. SMH. Read your Bible dear churchians. "All their deeds are done for men to see. They broaden their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels." Matthew 10 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts.. "People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." Jesus replied: 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions" “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, molestation, cunning/naughty eye, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person" "And if your eye scandalizes you pluck it out and cast it from you".

Never went to a service here, but they have a Greek festival every year that is one of the best experiences in Wilmington. It is a great time to stop in and try authentic Greek food and fair-like activity.
