"Widening the Circle" is our vision for the future of St. Stephen’s Church.
In fact, we have a proud history of widening the circle to include those who have too often been rejected by other parts of the church, including African Americans, women called to the priesthood, lesbian and gay people, and more recently, Spanish-speaking immigrants. Because we believe that this rich diversity is both a source of strength and a profound witness to the nature of the Reign of God, our parish invites both lay and ordained people to bring their unique gifts to shape our shared ministry.
