On Jan 23, 1961, the Bishop of Raleigh purchased 8 acres on rural Old Reid Rd, in south Charlotte. The construction consisted of a multi-use gymnasium. In 1999, Bishop William Curlin dedicated a permanent church building.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, The Parish of St. Vincent de Paul carries out Christ's mission of saving souls by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, providing a solid foundation rooted in the Truth & Traditions of our Catholic Faith,as well as a welcoming & caring community through acts of charity, acceptance & thankful stewardship.
