We are building new in a rural area and the faucets I'd picked online didn't work out. We came to Portland, OR to see real items and make a purchase. I did not see that appointments are required but the woman at the front desk let us walk around and look at the items. the showroom has a few samples of faucets and toilets from well known brands like Grohe, Moer, American Standard. My partner likes the toilets that do everything but I'm not sure if they are worth the $$$. Having an expert advise us would have been beneficial. While we tried to determine what would work, we heard her discussing what sounded like a fun Mexico trip on the phone. After looking at the items we could see on the floor and thinking that maybe one or two would work, we left. The front desk person was still on the phone. Maybe if we had driven our own vehicle and not used our dad's old truck, we would have received better attention? Regardless, we went to a nearby competitor and found a better selection and an extraordinary set of faucets.
One of their drivers did not properly secure his load on his truck and lost a 1" stick of pvc doing 60 on i84 Plate # 605572
I received excellent customer service from Carloyn when I ordered a sink and a drain for our bathroom remodel after TWO other sinks that we sourced on our own didn't work out. We had a long list of non-negotiable constraints for the size and type of sink, and she helped us find one from the Barclay catalogue that checked all the boxes she even called the supplier to verify the specs in the catalog. The price was actually better than the last one we had ordered from Lowe's, and we knew exactly what we were getting whereas we have encountered inaccurate specs on Lowe's and Home Depot's websites multiple times now. When everything arrived, I discovered a defect in the finish on the drain. It was subtle, but it would have annoyed me forever--so I brought it back in and Carolyn negotiated a return with the supplier which required some advocacy on her part because they initially refused to acknowledge that there was anything wrong with it. My only regret is not ordering from Standard from the get-go! Thank you Carloyn.
Very poorly organized. We ordered fixtures for our master bathroom, never got confirmation of the order so we called and it turned out the order was never placed. And the person who was supposed to do it had left on vacation and not forwarded the job to someone else. Once we figured that out we got it ordered, three weeks late. Our order finally comes in and they ask us to pick it up, so we do. Only to find out once the plumber is out at our house that they had forgotten items. Like a faucet. I just don’t understand how you can run a company on such a disorganized service platform. I am so unhappy with my whole experience here. I will definitely order elsewhere for our other two bathrooms.
Carolyn front desk helped me with one remodel and the build out on two new baths. She is extremely knowledgeable of all the major brands, what works and what doesn't. Standard is competitive with the box stores and online if you're working with a plumber who is giving you their contractor price and you add in the personalized service.
Designing three bathrooms for my remodel, coming here has been very helpful. I was able to physically get in different tubs, test different shower heads that are hooked up to a water supply. Front end staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are standard, expensive, but not marked up. My plumber has an account with them so prices will be a bit less. Many items are in stock and items i had to order came within two weeks.
It is shocking to me how these plumbing supply companies have such a backward service model. Do they not realize that ANYTHING can be ordered from Amazon and delivered in a timely manner? They don’t even pretend to know when where or how shipping is done. On this last debacle we elected to order locally, got the 6/7 weeks estimated delivery. You do have to coordinate with plumbers, after all. At 7 weeks, we began calling, were given a firm date, scheduled contractors, made a special trip from the coast. One day before “scheduled “ delivery were told in person, that no wasn’t coming until next week.....so back to the coast, only to get a call that item was waiting for pick up....oh and their driver couldn’t handle it in his truck? What? What was he expecting? Long story short, after spending mega$ to rent a truck on the coast and marathon drive to Portland not there but in Vancouver.....then no help at wharehouse bc the lone guy there didn’t do loading...haha. Unbelievable!
This company is garbage they will not do their job and then they will charge you for it and then they won't even return your calls when you're pistzoff that they didn't do their job garbage garbage garbage I would call the Attorney General on them but I don't even have the time to do that. I just would avoid this company 100%.
Went in to find an adapter that is apparently not that common. These guys tried to help , but when they couldn’t, recommended another local business who totally hooked me up! Customer service is A+
Price gouging. Units are 30% higher than other places. Check before buying anything here.
