"If there's time to lean, there's time to clean" is a motto not taught at this location. At this time when cleanliness is on everyone's minds it's not on anyone's mind at this store. The women's bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned any time in the last month or more. Toilet disgusting. Door handles filthy. Sink and mirror filthy. Major fail.
Literally the worst customer service I've ever had. I asked for the gentleman in the copy center to make copies for me, and instead he told me to use the self service machine, which would have been fine except it doubled the amount of time that it took to make the copies. The employees at the counter to check out 3 were all on their phones, and couldn't be bothered to even look up. I went here because I thought it would be convenient as I was on my way to the airport...but instead I was late. Never again.
A friend and I came in to print off two papers in color and the girl at the printing station said if we do the self-service it's a lot cheaper. We were charged $7.57??? to print off 2 pages and one that just had a watermark. nobody ever disclosed to us that we were going to get charged per minute, just that it was going to be cheaper than doing it through the station with an employee. Good thing that was only the draft we were printing and we didn't do the rest of our Prints through them. Biggest Rip off ever.
Used to be one of my favourite stores to go to, now it's not so much. Three our of four times I've gone in, and been followed by employees and management. They asked me four to five time if they could help Guess what guys, I like to look around, I might have a mini backpack on my back, but I'm not there to shoplift. This time I was helping my mom pick up mailing supplies. I'll either go to Office Depot or Amazon.
I ordered same day pick-up business cards on Tuesday. It was ready to be picked up last night at 8:00 pm. That was too late for me to pick them up so I have to pick them up today Friday. The associate was pleasant but the wait was not.
I went in to get some awards printed for my students on resume paper that I had saved to my google drive. The lady at the copy print center directed me to the self serve computers which you have to pay for to print them. BUT, I knew that they didn't have resume paper in the feed so I asked her what she thought I should do. She suggested logging on to the computer and then emailing all the awards to her email, so she could print them. I went along with this, even though I knew there was an easier way. When I logged into my google drive I wasn't able to download the documents, because I didn't have the "authority" to download google drive onto this public computer. I logged off and began walking out. The employee asked me if I was able to do it, I told her no and why, and then she suggested that I go home and then email her the documents for her to print.....yeah that's exactly what I want to do, make this trip longer. These self-serve stations are killing customer service. The employee just needed to log into my google account from her station where she could print the documents, but that thought didn't even cross her mind. Throughout the year I print close to 300-500 copies a month; business I will not be returning to Staples.
I spent a half hour at the office supply store looking past camera tripods, drones and greeting cards trying to find unlined junior sized paper. Somehow there is ample shelf space for febreeze but not for paper...at an office supply store. Not so much as an acknowledgement from employees.
I came in with with a problem; I’m not great with the DIY websites for wedding invites and I was on a time crunch to get my invitations out. Elizabeth was so patient with me, even while I was frantic about my dilemma. She took her time and let me go though all the options before finalizing my decision. Chris was prompt with the prints and didn’t bat an eye at my indecisions. The pricing they offer is spectacular compared to quotes I was given. Lastly, my invitations are simple and elegant. Exactly what I wanted. Thanks you guys! Keep up the good work. -Autumn
My first visit was on a Black Friday, and despite some good deals, I had no trouble finding an agent. The shelves were stocked - even some of the doorbusters after noon. Overall good experience.
Do yourself a major favor, shop at Staples on Hayden Island, the manager and service at the PDX store are sub par. Manager really just wants to be a stock boy, way too much effort to actually provide customer service. The employees at the Hayden store, have always been more than helpful.
