Starcks Taxidermy

Starks Taxidermy did a elk mount for me that I shot in Colorado. He did an excellent job on the mount - I couldn't be happier with the quality of workmanship on this elk. He was very pleasant to deal with. The only downside was that it took longer to complete than originally stated, but it was worth the wait.

I took in a mount in 2014 he told me 8 to 9 months took $300.00 as deposit, Always had an excuse as to why it was never ready, he never called me I always had to call. 3years later we got the mount mangled hide was tanners fault and it is not even our cape so don't let him make you think he is good at what he does. after this experience I told my son we will never be back to him. Very deceptive!!!!!! Owners response another excusse I have original pics of the cape not ours and I can prove it to any one this guy is a con and I can't believe I needed to say anything when after three years we finally got something what is he going to do shxx me a good and correct cape not happening

We have used Starck's for all of our taxidermist needs so far. We have had a wait to get stuff back yes, but the quality of work has been fantastic!!! My husband just shot his biggest buck so far(a beautiful 4 point) and again we have decided on bringing it here. We know the quality of work that will be put into this item and can trust it will also look great when we get it back.

I almost made the mistake of having starcks do a mount for me. I started asking around and come to find out a friend of mine had a full cougar mount done by Starcks. Took over three years to complete and the guy was horrible to deal with. I did some more research and found three other people that had similar problems. Two of them still haven't got their animals back.

2010 I drop antlers and capes off for 2 bucks and a full squirrel mount. Deposit of 1/2 the money. Still don't have ANY of it back and he has pretty much cut all communication off. He is a thief.
