The hotel was great and staff was better. It was just under construction, which made it a little inconvenient at times. There were signs, so it's not like we didn't know but it left dust and some other traces that the excellent house staff was constantly cleaning. The rooms were really comfortable though, a bed with a lounging couch and kitchenette in a standard room. But parking, oh the parking, is a little stressful. Because it's in a parking structure l, but to get there you turn in this basically alley, that you do not find unless you're looking for it and then park on what u can only describe on the steepest parking lot I've ever had to scale in a dress and heels. I recommend a street sign for the hotel, but hey I don't work there so all I can say is...good luck folks.
I called IHG the night we arrived around midnight as we booked through them to notify them of issues. I was told the GM would contact me. I never received a call. There was nothing about the hotel being under renovation or the pool being closed on the IHG website. The elevators were dirty, the button panel was loose, the hallway on our floor had construction dust, hallway carpet smelled like urine. Our room had black dusty mold on the vent in one of the rooms. Carpet falling apart. Wallpaper peeling and holes in the wall. Bedroom lights didn't work in either room. One shower barely worked. Tears and holes in the furniture. Due to the fact we had checked in online, we couldn't get our money back or move. I did ask that with IHG when I called that night. I was never told at check-out about the pool or renovations. When I asked the front desk clerk while getting our room keys, he then told me about the pool. It is certainly not worth the more than $300/night we had to pay. The only positives to the whole experience was Oz who handled the continental breakfast, who clearly is committed to customer service.
The hotel manager promised a room for 3 people during a phone reservation but when we arrived, the room was for 2 people. The person at the front desk refused to correct the error and said we could take it or leave it. The couple who checked in before us came back to the front desk and asked for a refund because their room smelled. The elevators smelled like someone had been smoking in them. The hotel needs to be renovated and needs a friendly staff.
Free parking!! The rooms were so nice! Very clean! Medium size kitchen. Desk and comfortable chair. Bed was large and luxurious. Staff was very friendly. Next time I'm in Atlanta, I'll stay here.Rooms: 5/5
Horrible dirty place. Room looks strange, sofa and bedding set looks like some one is scratched that, and was very old. Carpet has a lot dirty spots. Only kitchen looks nice. But ! This hotel have construction! And they not close some part of hotel or some floor, no construction is everywhere , around your room. You can’t sleep coz at 8 am it’s still so noise, you can’t be at day in your room coz they non stop drilled, and your brain just explodes from it… All rooms looks same awful, and same noise! One of the horrible 2 days on my life ….. Funny moment so that place have same price is a neighborhood Hilton or Hyatt. Ridiculous
The place is nice, the staff is very polite as is housekeeping, free laundry and a small but useful gym. Im giving this place two stars because I am here for work and they have been remodeling and doing construction on the hotel. It is now October of 2022, I am sure by next year this place will be great but until then the construction makes this place hard ro deal with. I have been working at night, coming home at 8 or 9 am, right around the time the grinding and power tools start up. They are working on the 6th floor and the sound echoes through the entire building. It sounds kike a chainsaw coming through the ceiling. It is a nice hotel but for the next year or so it is not a great place to stay.
