We rented the jacuzzi suite last weekend. It's... a room. Check in took FOREVER and there is a $100 cash deposit requirement they didn't tell us about until we got there and you can't get it back until 11am check out day, so if you have to leave before that you're SOL. They said they'd mail it but we still haven't gotten it back. Pool was dirty and closed despite it being almost 110 degrees. Inside the room: The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were boulders; I had pain in my neck for a week after sleeping there. There was a leather ? chair in the room that was ripped, cracked, and had loose change and hair ties in it and honestly I would have preferred it wasn't there because it cheapened the whole room, which was not cheap. Mini fridge wasn't clean. Shower didn't drain at all. Blinds were dirty and didn't turn. Walls were scuffed/dirty and badly patched. Weird hook hanging from the ceiling. Flourescent lights. TV wasn't working for a while. LOUD AC wall unit probably drowned out the smokers and crackheads outside. There are also bright lights right outside the room windows that you can't turn off so it will never be dark in the room at night. The place is just... ugh. Only thing we liked about it was the location and the fact that it had AC.
Stayed here many a times, Very relaxed, clean rooms and staff is friendly. Owner is often there and keeps it running right. Price is fair for the rooms. Wish it was weekly optioned. Can't stay here last 28 days or gotta move out for it least one night and then you can come back. Id recommend staying there. But don't wait or think you can go price compare against their price. Cause you will lose out. It will rent.
You'll enter the room to find a bed low to the floor, pillows against the wall to hide holes. Flooring was coming up in certain areas. No curtains to block out light. Shower head needs to be swapped out, we found it painful and not suitable for the water pressure. Water temperature handles need updating and fixing. Shower curtains should be heavier. What we did enjoy was the large bath tub with jets, large TV with decent sound, ac worked wonderfully. The writing desk is a nice touch to the room. However all the mirrors gave the room a cheap motel feel. This place has so much potential if the issues are addressed and modernized. We didn't utilize the picnic area however it looked maintained and inviting. Room and surrounding areas were clean.
The place is safe for Fremont street. Probably the nicest as far as the older hotels off east Fremont are concerned. The owner is on point and does everything by the books. He's not shady the place is well kept. Fresh and clean and cheap and fair. The only issues you may have here are vacancies.
I liked staying here and would have given them five stars except that when you pay the weekly rate it only covers 6 days and not 7. Which would bring 7s short from when we were paid. But the place is very nice and has a beautiful landscaping. Plus it's like a community there and everyone knows each other and looks out for one another!!
The staff is wonderful, the women who checked us in was awesome, we had a very pleasant stay got fresh towels daily the housekeeper was friendly... Definitely coming back. I read that people had a problem with deposits, we got our deposit back at noon just as it was explained. THANKS STERLING GARDENS
Watch out for sticky fingers Stacey. Sweet to your face, but is also your maid. If you have valuables in your room, take them with you. Stayed 1 night here. About 6 years ago. Room was solid concrete. And all night long parking lot lights from cars glared into room. Sterling property is only nicer because owner lives on property.Rooms: 1/5
This place has a owner who is interest is taking guest money and providing nothing in services.. The pool is empty and ground are covered with trash.. many questionable individuals which will bring your concern.. Suggestion if anything else is available take it...not a great place for children.. See for yourself and tell anyone and everyone what you see... Area is some of the worst in the entire city and combined with a mentally unstable owner, watch your back....
So, it’s on East Fremont Street, so not the best area. The lady who checked me in/out was so friendly. The room.. we got the jacuzzi room and it was nice! The room is remodeled and the bed was comfortable. Nice entertainment center with direct tv, so a bunch of channels. The jacuzzi tub was so relaxing. They had a mini fridge and microwave in the room so it was nice to keep our drinks cold and to reheat some food. The bathroom had a big walk in shower. The room was very clean. They have a courtyard in the middle of the motel with grills and music playing and places to sit and relax. I am definitely coming back!!
