A while since I've been, but I came across my photos and wanted to share. Went with a group of friends for lunch. I was lured in by the fried chicken and also got a biscuit and gravy. Good sized portions, gravy is thick, but not too gloppy. Would have liked a larger piece of chicken, but having it sliced was good.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Very yummy breakfast spot. I found this place after a simple google search and decided to come try. I had the “breakfast nachos” and a Bloody Mary - both were very delicious. The set up is similar to “fast food”. You order your food at the counter then find your seat and someone brings it out to you.
So I got this French toast biscuit with fried chicken and eggs And it was so good I had to save the other half as my road snack. nice flavor in every bite. Only complaint is no one brought syrup, but that’s not the biggest of deals because this thing is BUSSIN!! Highly recommend
I love this spot and the spot in Arlington. Me and my partner come here to hangout and relish our food. This neighborhood restaurant has great food vibes. The staff is the best here. Many items are great from this menu.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Quite possibly the worst food I’ve ever ordered. I ordered from here with Uber Eats. I ordered breakfast nachos and grits. Anytime I’ve ever ordered nachos for delivery, the nachos come essentially deconstructed from any liquid toppings, but that wasn’t the case. I opened the nachos to find a container or pure mush from the tortilla chips sitting in the red sauce and busted egg on top - plus it was missing some ingredients that were listed on the menu. Then on to the grits, which had a pool of grease sitting on top and had little to no flavor. And this couldn’t have been any fault of the Uber Eats driver because I watched the delivery - they came straight to my house from the restaurant. However, I tried to call the restaurant and request a refund after spending $35 on inedible food and they don’t answer and have a full mailbox. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Complete disaster of an experience with this unprofessional business.
I went to stomping ground recently with a close friend on a hunt for the DMV‘s best fried chicken sandwich. They have two different types of fried chicken sandwiches. I tried the classic one. I was very impressed. The pimento cheese really complimented the biscuits and the chicken itself. I highly recommend this place. It’s in a very comfortable environment.
The Iced Latte was wonderful for a summer morning. Quaint coffee shop that also serves food and has outdoor seating. Didn’t seem to mind bringing donuts in from across the street.
The biscuit with the cheese frittata was amazing, fluffy and delicious. Coffee was great as well.
Went for brunch on a Sunday. Relatively prompt service, ordered via the app and picked up at the window. We got a biscuit sandwich, coffees, and fried chicken. The biscuit sandwich was flavorless. The biscuit itself was undercooked, stodgy, and lacked any crumble. The egg was fine but lacked spice, the sausage served on the sandwich was oily and low quality, and the smashed avocado was runny and also lacked spice. The fried chicken used low quality chicken breast and was oily/soft. The oil being used to fry was clearly not hot enough. Would not return.
They have the BEST biscuits in town. Hands-down. Their biscuit sandwiches, like fried chicken and egg and cheese, are super tasty. The hash is always amazing and tastebud tantalizing. Service can use some improvements, and they get overwhelmed easily, so bring your patience. Coordination between the window and the kitchen is not the well-oiled machine that their competitors on the Avenue have mastered. Make sure you check your bag for everything before departing. With that said, the ladies working the cash register and the window are always amazing and friendly. Though they tell you to wait for a text, it's worth the trouble to check in at the window when you arrive-- they might not start coffees until then, regardless of text status.
