We recently decided to update our countertops and after a few weeks of searching company and the material, we found Stone Source and the PERFECT stone, Bescato Silk, for our countertops. Jess and team were amazing and VERY helpful through the whole process. The installation team was very professional and did an amazing job. While we don't have any other projects planned at this time, we will defiantly use Stone Source again. 100% recommend ... I wish I was a better photographer, as these pictures do NOT do the amazingly beautiful countertops justice...
Our gas fireplace was encased in gorgeous marble. We recieved excellent guidance from Sarah H and their in-house design staff. The workmanship was awesome from fabrication cutting to installation. They were not the cheapest but well worth the cost. Our fireplace is striking! Adding wood mantle and cabinets soon.
Complete disaster. After reading though other reviews, I noticed that if there are no mistakes made, everything is fine. The bad reviews come from when mistakes happen, and Stone Source does nothing to make the customer feel like they got what they paid for. You can see from the photo attached; they mismeasured the stove cutout by 7 inches. They also damaged our new cabinet drawer when they had to remove the slab. We did not receive a phone call from anyone to apologize or to see what our next options would be. We had to literally drive 45 min. to Stone Source to get something done. Now, for Stone Source, you have to pay 100% upfront to get on the schedule, so you can imagine our stress, when they had to replace the miscut stone with 2 pieces, which is not what we had approved and paid for. They kept saying, "we'll take care of you", let's just get this installed first. Apparently, when you sign the install sheet, you approved everything and all is forgotten, because we never got compensated for this mistake. Then, they messed up again!!! Still no apology or accountability. They didn't estimate enough stone for our backsplash which we had chosen a specific Vein. They actually blamed us for pointing at a layout on a piece of paper. I showed them the email stating that "they" didn't estimate correctly. Still, they claimed it was not their fault. Long story, short we asked for a meeting with the owner, because we were getting nowhere with Jennifer and the Salesperson. Lenny was the worst person we had ever met. He ended up yelling at my wife and screaming, "all you care about is money!" We asked for any kind of compensation, store credit, something to make us not feel terrible for spending 20K plus upfront and having to accept a layout that we would have never purchased. His exact words: "You won't see a penny from me. In fact, if you don't choose 1 of our 2 beautiful options, I'm going to have my lawyer sue for breach of contract and start assessing daily fees." We've been remodeling our home over the past 2 years, and this is my first negative review ever. Mistakes are going to happen, but you want to feel confident that the company you contracted will make things right, especially if they are made by the company. Stone Source is the worst company we've dealt with throughout our home remodel. I wish I would have taken the advice of the other negative reviews and stay away.
Excellent service and quality! We ran into a multitude of issues with another company and Kari made everything happen for us in timeframe that exceeded our expectations! The stone is absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t be happier with it. They turned an awful experience from another company into the best customer experience we have had during our kitchen remodel! I also met with another woman in the store can’t remember her name! when deciding between two stones, and she was incredibly sweet, patient, and sat with me through my indecisiveness. She helped me feel so confident in my final decision. I have recommended Stone Source to everyone who asks me. It was top notch, from start to finish.
I had excellent service for the purchase of my kitchen countertops and two bathroom vanities. Both Amber Palmer, Design Project Manager and Matt gave great input and were extremely helpful in guiding me to my final decisions on product. Not to mention the great install team who arrived on time and did a terrific job. I highly recommend the experts at Stone Source.
I want to share my experience with my first time ever visiting Stone Source. I was shopping for a hearth for my already existing fireplace. Sarah Heinrich showed me around and pointed out some light colors that I thought I wanted. But then she showed me a darker piece which I turned out getting. I showed her pictures of my fireplace stone and she actually had a sample of it. So it was great to have my stone up next to all the product we looked at. Jenny was a great resource for me as well as I stopped by just to make sure it was what I wanted and she was so helpful in showing me how we could cut the piece. Timing was perfect! Thank you for a great product and experience! I love it! Sue Kirk
We recently had new countertops installed in our kitchen. We found the perfect quartz for our project at Stone Source Calacatta Rome. We worked with Sarah H throughout the project, and we are incredibly happy with the results! Sarah H and every other team member, from measuring to digital nesting to installation was fantastic! Everyone was very responsive, helpful accommodating and precise. Would definitely recommend and will use again for future projects. Thanks Stone Source!
Got a remnant of quartzite for our laundry room. Measuring and install went well. It looked great. However, immediately after install, I noticed some stains on the stone that were present at install I hadn't used it yet. They sent out Sergey to remove the stains. He got out some, but said others were best left alone. Some of the marks were perhaps imperfections in the stone. That was fine and I let it go because they were minor. However, once I started using the laundry room, several new stains started appearing. Turns out the stone was not sealed! It is so permeable, that a single drop of water will leave a dark mark, even when wiped up immediately and it takes days to evaporate and may still leave a stain behind. The stone is polished, so it doesn't appear porous. Because it took me a couple weeks to notice the water stains, there are several new stains now that I cannot get out. Stone Source had told me that the stone comes sealed. Now they tell me that when they say the stone is sealed, what they really mean is that they apply one coat of sealant to the stone before it is installed, but the stone may need multiple coats of sealant to be fully sealed properly. There is a big difference between applying one coat of sealant that may or may not be enough to seal the stone and actually ensuring the stone is sealed! There is no way I could have known that my newly installed "pre-sealed" stone would immediately need more coats of sealant prior to use! They told me I need to add more sealant myself, but to first get the stains out so they are not permanently sealed in. I bought the products they recommended online almost $100 in materials for the stain remover and sealant, but I was unable to get the stains out. Then, I asked them to please send out Sergey out again to remove the new stains so I could add more sealant. They said it would cost me $300 for a service call. We went back and forth via email and they asked for photos. I sent photos of the new stains and they insist that they are simply part of the stone. They are most definitely not! I now cannot use my laundry sink or counter at all without adding more stains. I cannot seal it myself without sealing in the current stains. I am very disappointed in Stone Source and their unwillingness to make things right when clearly they should have either done a simple water-drop test to ensure the stone is fully sealed OR they should at least inform all customers to do a water-drop test before use and add more sealant as necessary.
Super easy to work with and they did a fantastic job! Amber was very personable, knowledgable, and was amazing to work with during our kitchen renovation. Highly recommend!
Helpful, personal and highly interested in us getting the right piece of stone for our project. Sales and service people were all friendly and easy to work with
