Good quality food, friendly and comical service. It’s a hard bargain to find good quality pasta for a reasonable price in the greater Boston area. Sugo is an exception.
Classic. Authentic. Home-style. Run by an Italian couple from the area too! Their menu is concise and thoughtful and everything is perfect. Americans are used to fast service, large portions and being demanding customers especially the yuppie ones with babies and no consideration of anyone else. You won't get that here and it's refreshing.
excellent food! great service ! 5 stars ! def check this place out!
During an impromptu date night, I chose this location since most other places were closed, and I'm so glad I walked in! The food was very authentic, and made with fresh ingredients that the restaurant serves up to order. My waiter was actually the owner-operator, who detailed how a large portion of the menu were actually dishes made by his own mother. Everything about this place was cozy and welcoming, making it a spot I would recommend for anyone seeking a lovely Italian meal. If this review was helpful, please consider a thumbs up. It would be greatly-appreciated!
It's a great little Northern Italian fine cuisine would you ran into by luck one evening. I've gone back there twice now with my wife and we love the food and the retro 60 atmosphere. The head chef is excellent and very accommodating as is his wife. Who does great wine pairings with his food. And then he has a weekly specials as well.
This is our family's favorite restaurant in Arlington. All pasta dishes are fantastic, especially those with the deliciously light cream sauces. The cutlets are crisp to perfection. The outside seating in the summer is particularly nice. The best Italian place in town!
ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Delicious Italian food in a lovely intimate restaurant run by a wonderful couple. Everything we had was amazing! The three of us got different pasta dishes, all with homemade pasta and amazing sauces & meats, then we shared two amazing desserts; a flourless chocolate cake and a lemon layer cake. They have a great selection of beer and wine as well. As I always mention in my reviews when relevant, going here supports a small, local, female and family owned business. These are the places that NEED your business, not chain restaurants.
A small gem, fantastic food. Do make a reservation or expect to wait then be seated at the tiny four seat bar. The roasted eggplant is thinly sliced and layered with spinach and poured over with a Marsala source. The owner/chef created chocolate cake with a thick layer of peanut butter in the middle is certainly not Italian and probably more attractive for children.
I keep trying new dishes and every time I say I'll come back for another one. This place has the best Italian food in miles and I love pasta, so I've tried many places not only in Boston little Italy but Cambridge as well, and I keep telling my friends the best Italian restaurant in town is a hidden gem in Arlington, called Sugo. Try it once and you will come back!
Amazing family owned atmosphere. The chicken parm was fantastic! Highly recommend. They even made a special dessert moment to celebrate our engagement!
