Summit

We use the Summit train station mostly to pick up and drop off our kids coming from the city. That work especially well for them since it has an elevator, which is critical for all the stuff they schlep in both directions. It also means no change of trains, which when you’re sclepping is also a strong point. We sometimes use it ourselves it parking for occasional travelers is really tough and it is a pretty long walk from parking to the train station.

Great hub station for trains to NYC, Newark and Hoboken. The station is clean and safe, even very late at night. There is a small concession area and a window to purchase tickets from a person during peak hours. Otherwise there are ticket vending machines in the lobby or on the platform on the eastbound tracks. You can always use the NJ Transit app to purchase tickets from your phone.

Easy access with all day parking ($10) for a day trip to NYC. If you don't get there early, there is a lot attendant who will take your key and double park for you. Have an extra key or your fob free and take it with you. The gentleman who we left our key with was helpful. No issues leaving our vehicle. It was parked in a spot with the key locked in it when we returned after 10:30pm.

Nice staition that is big. I use the service to pick up cables from Audio Nexus.

Functional. Not falling apart. Basic amenities present. Nothing world-class. Quaint. 4 Stars basically for location and functionality and I Love the Town of Summit.
