I liked this place and their pizza, but the last experience was very disappointing. I ordered my pizza online, and I got a message that in 45 min will be ready. I got there when my status was saying order ready to pickup. I was told 15 min more to wait, and it will be ready. After those 15 min, another person told me about 10 min more… I waited those 10 mins to be told that I have another 15 min to wait. Busy night I get it, but after waiting 40 minutes waiting time over the initial 45minutes, I get home to see that our dinner is fully burned and impossible to eat. So disappointing; this is not the first time when we get our pizza burned like this.
Tonight I experienced the best pizza I have ever eaten. I am a vegetarian, which can mean pizzas with veggies but always lacking in flavor. I ordered a Veggie Pesto and can't put into words how deep the different levels of flavors made this pizza stand out from all the others that came before it. Fabulous dough, not too thick or thin, and really tasty. But it was the pesto they make that made this pizza number one in my book. It sealed the deal for me. I encourage all the carnivores out there to give it a try and see how this Veggie Pesto can stand up to a meatlovers pizza any day!
Ordered a pizza and tiramisu over the phone. I added up my total, $41. Show up to a $50.49 price. 15% service and wellness charge?? For what? The owner to make more money? AND, they messed up my order. Asked for fresh tomatoes, had it confirmed twice by the worker, and got cooked sundried tomatoes $3 topping? Showed up early for my order, it was already done, and it was cold. So disappointing, basically lost my return service.
Sunny's makes delicious pizza! I usually order a salad, slice, and beer and it's the perfect meal! They have a great Happy Hour, 8pm - 10pm everyday!
I went here during Portland Pizza week 2019. The place is nice. I had a slice of pizza that had baby back ribs on it, it was very good. I also tried a slice of their gluten-free pizza. This is the first gluten-free pizza I have ever had that didn't make me sad. The crust was thick and soft and fluffy. It was awesome! If you are looking for a gluten-free pizza, I recommend going here. The only thing that really threw me off was the staff working the front counter. They seemed to be more interested in their phones than their customers. This is off-putting, especially as there is a cost-of-living tax charged.
Excellent product and delicious combination. So happy this pizza place is in the area. My 7 year old daughter likes it also. Will be back often.
This pizza is incredible. It's a smaller shop making gigantic tasty as hell pizzas, so yes sometimes you'll need to wait longer than other places.. Chill out and have a beer. The staff is awesome. They also have FANTASTIC gluten free deep dish pizza. I've never had a GF pizza crust anything like it in a good way.
Yummy pizza fast to make about 15-20 mintutes at a little past rush time. Also staff is super friendly! DESERT IS SO TASTY WITH WORTH THE PRICE.
Sunny's Pizza has incredible garlic knots. They may be the best garlic knots in Portland. The dough is crisp, flavorful, and deluged in garlic and herbs. These knots are packed with flavor, and the taste of garlic lingers for a bit, pleasantly. Sunny's Pizza also has great pizza. It is the floppy crust, fold up your pizza kind, with an excellent tomato base and quality cheese. Sunny's includes a 15% gratuity with all purchases so they can pay their staff a living wage. You will have the option to tip more if you choose.
This place is amazing. Great quality and quite likely the best pizza in PDX. It needs to be on the top 5 lists with the other usual suspects a pizza scholls, etc. Well worth trying if you haven’t.
