Definitely a hipster dive. A nice small venue with seating available along the edge. The bar has cute lighting, but there wasn't much food available and the prices were a bit steep considering the fact that this place is a dive. The stage is elevated about a foot and there is plenty of space for a crowd. The transportation communication to Sunnyvale is slightly difficult, as the place seems to be in the middle-of-nowhere East Williamsburg.
Sunnyvale is a nice little bar with a stage for live performances. Overall i had a good time there and if the occasion comes up I may go there again. I have taken a few stars off for the following reasons. 1. Long, I mean very long bathroom lines. In other words they dont have enough bathroom to handle their capacity on a busy night. 2. Extremely slow bartender. Maybe she is new. She was very nice , but very slow. And she was left all alone by herself. 3. Limited beer selection, tecate, Miller hl and Heineken, that's it !
I been in this place before. In fact this is fifth time being in this place. Nonetheless exciting highlights. Go check the plac out when you get the chance
This place has the aesthetic of a classic punk dive venue. It's no frills, no fuss. Moderately priced drinks. Mostly just open space for crowds, and all attention on the stage. If you want to feel like you're in the thick of some raw garage rock, living-the-starving-artist-dream venue, this place will get you there.
Sound kept cutting out. Not a good look for a venue. And when they finally did get some consistency it was too loud and left my ears ringing. May come back depending on who is booked. I'll give 3* cause drink prices were not too overly expensive.
Love this place, solid scene, small and intimate shows but still wide enough to accommodate a good crowd. Area is a lil sketchy but honestly totally worth it. Very memorable and I would recommend coming here even if it's out of the way. I hope Sunnyvale never changes, I can't wait to come back!
It did the job. But sadly, like many other smaller Brooklyn venues, it is no more.
Place is chill, I've been here a few times. Music isn't bad at all when we're gathering with friends on a wkend/wkday night, to illicit debauchery of God LIKE proportions. Bartenders are super friendly and make you def want to come back and by another round. If your lucky enough you can find yourself in the hidden back area. Courtesy bathrooms are located at the corner gas station, for those of you too embarrassed to yack at the club, or too Boujee to admit it.
One of my favorite venues! All kinds of genres played, nice back area when you need to step out. Stiff and affordable drinks. Lots of fun
Booked this venue for an event.... I hope I don't have to again! The entire building is FILTHY. Beer bottles and cups everywhere, everything is sticky and dusty... The green room is just a shed attached to the side of the building! I'm glad my event wasn't in the winter!!!
