I've used Sunset for 5 of my rescue/foster dobermans as they passed over the years. I can't say enough good things about Sunset. I've used their pick-up service in the past as well and it's top notch. People imagine that this type of service when away from prying eyes is cold and careless but it's anything but. The staff treats our pets as if they were their own. I'm very grateful for the compassionate services they provide.

It's with deepest sadness that I contacted Sunset due to the impending death of my beloved companion of 16 years "Tuna" Hodges. The staff addressed my cremation inquiry with dignity, sympathy and love. This is a 10 star provider...

I was at a Pet Expo near Dulles a few months back and happened to pick up a brochure for Sunset Pet Services. Then, in the midst of my overwhelming grief while cradling my beloved 20-year-old kitty who had been in my life all but the first 6 weeks of those 20 years, I found them again when searching for a place in the NOVA region that does individual cremations on-site. Having worked in the veterinary field previously, I knew that "individual" is not always truly individual especially when using a service that is not on site (not to say that all off-site services do not follow through on their claims, but the couple I was aware of were not as careful and organized as I would want them to be to ensure proper tracking), so the family-owned on-site service was my primary decision factor. I was further reassured when Robin was so kind and accommodating in person, allowing me all the time I needed to say goodbye and comforting me with kind words as I sobbed. She was very helpful when advising me on picking out an urn, and has the wise advice of someone that clearly cares about the service they provide. Even though I didn't need it, they were quick to offer up the off-hours availability should that have been more convenient for me. I trusted Sunset Pet Services to respectfully and carefully take care of my beloved Jake, and as much as I don't want to think about needing their services in the future, I will not hesitate to do so again and/or recommend them to others in similar heartbreaking situations.

We recently lost our dog Gracie who was a rescue from the Fairfax Shelter and our first and only dog. She was 15 and a half and was having age related health issues. I had read about Sunset Pet Services and called for more info. Robin was very nice and informative. Before we Gracie passed I stopped by to visit Sunset and was warmly welcomed by Mark Martin or "Martin" as he goes by. He was very warm and helpful as well as confirming info Robin provided. When Gracie finally crossed over the Rainbow Bridge just before Christmas, we brought her to Sunset where Martin was compassionate and helpful throughout the entire process helping us select the appropriate urn for her as well as the requested engraving. Everything was very professional and compassionate. We would highly recommend Sunset Pet Services for your loved pet!
