We ordered through GrubHub and delivery was faster than estimated. We got jerk chicken and oxtail. The food was good. Very flavorful and similar to how I make it. Unfortunately I gave 4 stars because we got a lot of rice, like so much rice but very very very little cabbage, like one bite. Plantains were also very dry. I wish we got equal amount cabbage and rice, and also option for sauce on the side. The large serving is enough for two meals, plenty for leftovers next day. But overall food was tasty.
Great customer service! They go the extra mile. Love this place when they opened but now they have upgraded. Since the pandemic, the dining area is now zoned off, there is a lounge room and a side shop for just small item commodities. The counter area is redesigned and looks good. Customer waiting is minimal, timely, efficient. The only thing more I wish is that I could get to the shop easier on the phone. Sometimes it can be busy and not easy to get someone. However, walk up service is fast and you’ll walk out with another island delight. :-
Is a great place to come. CLEAN !!!! People are cool ... Customers also cool. Fast and tasty food . Would definitely come again.**BLACK OWNED BUSINESS** Baltimore/DMV come supportFood: 5/5
Besides the phone going straight to vm when I called to place a pick up order. When I got there i waited longer to give them my order versus the 2 minute wait on my platter. Let me tell you I ordered the goat after with yellow rice and cabbage. Goat was amazing, rice delicious that cabbage though was raw. I don't want raw cabbage!!!!! Other that that I'd rate 7 out of 10. I will be returning to try the stewed chicken.
Excellent service and food!! It is always a struggle finding a Jamaican restaurant that actually has all the items on their menu. This place did not disappoint! Not only did they have all the main items on their menu, but they delivered through GrubHub extremely quickly. I was shocked! Also their prices were amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to eating from there again in the future.
Great food here. The neighborhood is rough. However, it's definitely a go to place for island cuisine. The portions are rally good.Food: 5/5
This might become my go to spot for Jamaican cuisine in Baltimore. The staff is friendly and fast. They have nice menu. There prices and portions are fare for most part. I think $18 for large oxtail is expensive. I might try them and see if it's justified. I got a large curry goat and I enjoyed it very much! Also got some mango sea moss Irish moss, sorrel, and cake. Everything nice. I will return.
You will be still eating and be full and idk what great portions well worth the price iam telling you there some secret sauce in the curry chicken 10 out of 10 MUST TRY AGINA I DO NOT EXAGGERATE WHEN U SEEN THEN RUN AND GET YOU A PLATE !
went here for some takeout the cashier was a bit of a problem when trying to tell us to leave the open store til the food was ready with my boyfriend early this morning. I ordered the curry chicken and he ordered the oxtails. the spice to the curry was absolutely delicious the rice & peas were decent too sweet of a taste. My boyfriend loved everything so YES WE ADDED THIS TO OUR TAKEOUT LIST. Next time I want to try one of their sweets!
This establishment serves authentic caribbean food that is homemade, flavorful and spicy...true spicy! There is a small lounge area where happy hours are hosted on Fridays. You can eat in or take out, an array of desserts and drinkswestern and caribbean. The prices are reasonable, serving sizes small or large, but well packed. Street parking only with handicapp accessible corners and entrance going into the establishment off the sidewalk. Busy store front area so parking is limited, but is worth searching for a parking space. I will be returning....
