I was starving this afternoon and we decided it was a job for T-Bone's. What a great call! I got the Jerk Cheesesteak with spicy fries, and my wife got the Vito Corleone with onion rings. All really tasty, and generous potions. Lots of meat on both sandwiches. The onion rings were solid. The spicy fries were good too, but I hoped they would be a little spicier. Best bang for your buck in Southside. Parking: Street parking along 20th is free after 5 on weekdays and on weekends. You might have to walk a block or two.
Best salad I've ever had. 1st time here & shall return. The seating was tight but who cares... I would gladly eat while standing cuz... YUM!!!Food: 5/5
This place is fire! The Philly sandwiches are the best anywhere in this area, made like a true Philly would be, and they do not skimp on the meat. The portions are huge. Get a full sandwich and it’s easily two meals. Their sandwiches are fantastic as well, and they also make Philly egg rolls which are pretty unique and very tasty! You can’t go wrong here unless you wait until prime dinner hours to get there. Everything is made to order so be prepared to wait for it. It’s worth it! Vegetarian options: Any sandwich can be made into a salad or there are wrap options. Parking: Parking on the street during working hours must be paid for but is free after hours.
OK, I can't attest to the service or atmosphere as this was a door dash order. I ordered the 12" Vito, and my God, if that wasn't the best hoagie I've ever had in my LIFE. The bread tasted like it had been wood fired before stuffed with meats and fresh toppings. I absolutely plan on trying more of their menu.Food: 5/5
Have always loved this place. But today I got a salad and there was a peice of a glove in my salad.so gross looks like there was other food on the glove. I understand mistakes happen but a huge peice of a glove that was under all of my lettuce????Food: 1/5
Service was great. Food cooked to order and all ingredients fresh and tasty. Presentation of fool was nice as well. The diner was quaint. Modern average joint look. Will be back.Food: 5/5
We came here because it was across the street from our hotel. We had no idea what to expect. We walked in and the place was packed. We knew this had to be a good sign. We ordered our food to go. It took about 15-20 minutes since they make every thing fresh. I had the Philly that came with jerk sauce and it was delicious. My partner had one with pizza sauce and said it was delicious too. You can either get a small or large. We both got smalls and they were plenty big. If we lived in the area, we would definitely frequent here. Vegetarian options: It’s a meat based restaurant. You can order fries and they do have some salads but don’t expect to get a full meal if you are vegetarian. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids meal with chicken fingers.
I happen to walk in when the place was slammed packed and the people behind the counter who were all working their butts off still made the time to be friendly and courteous. The food was hot and delicious. As a local guy, I urge you to try this out it is actually very very good.Food: 5/5
Outstanding! I haven't been in several years and recently visited and it was better than ever. One thing I remembered though, call your order in before you arrive so it will reduce your wait time. One suggestion, have curb service for pick up. The parking in South Side sucks. This might increase sales.
Seasoned and Cooked to perfection. Visiting from Memphis and felt like I slipped away to Philly. This place is now part of our new memories we've made while celebrating our anniversary. The owner was so proud to share his legacy with us, which was evident in the food presentation. 22 years in downtown Birmingham is well deserved. I hope they stay 22 more years. We'll be back!
