Food was well presented but lacked depth of flavor. Barbacoa was more like pot roast with a very mild chili sauce. I'm used to barbacoa having some fat to it whereas the one here seemed very lean; maybe it was just the luck of the draw. Overall score: 3.75 / 5.Food: 3/5
From the silent traveler to all of you, be well be safe, be positive. So this place a friend of mine took me out to try it out Saturday this was a very unique place The food is done in a unique style. For example you take an egg a chicken some shrimp put it on a bun you got to a unique sandwich so the food is still the same prepared as if you paired at your house. But it does get you to think and it does fire up a lot of your taste buds because now you have a different style of food all thrown together. The different sauces they have are really good too. The nachos and any restaurant you going to get nachos at a Latin restaurant and they're going to be the same nachos the cheese though now that that queso dip was quite nice I don't know what they added in there but it did give it a nice good flavor instead of really good location it does stay busy I can definitely tell you that So if you go go early so you can really enjoy the atmosphere with good friends your significant other or whoever you want to take out it's a nice family outing I will say that. So if you're in town definitely go buy check it out and fill your belly up try the unique style of the way food is prepared. From the silent traveler to all of you be well be safe be positive.
I was passing through on my way back to Chicago from Tennessee and decided to stop in. At first I thought the pricing was a little high but then the food came out and it was totally understandable. The quality in ingredients was higher than anything I've had here in Chicago. The steak melted in your mouth. 10/10 will stop in next year again on my next road trip
5 star reviews are rare but this place left me euphoric. The carnita torta was plated in a creamy sauce and sent fireworks off upon first bite. A crispy crust balanced the tender, moist meat. This sandwich makes my top 10 all time favs. All three extra sauce options were so good that I used a different one in each bite. My wife and daughter had the rice bowl carnitas and salmon and they raved about the perfect balance of texture and flavor in every bite.
I hit this place on a Wednesday nite and they were slow. I ordered at the front and was given a number ... I ordered the queso and chips, and it had blue corn chips and white queso. The dip was a little bland, and chips weren't really fresh. I also ordered two tacos , and one was barley warm, and the other was fine. Just wish the food would be better. Also, no real hot sauce all sauces were at the best medium hot.
Clean, bright sparkley place. Very busy menu. Tacos are small but lots of filling. While tasty, no where near authentic recipe. And $75 for 4 people to eat hipster knock off tacos is just crazy.
My actual rating of my experience here is 4.5 stars, but I'll round it up to a 5. First of all, the customer service was very pleasant. Everything in the restaurant looked clean and organized. As for the food, I ordered two tacos--one with mole chicken and one al pastor--and their mole fries. The taco al pastor was out-of-this-world good. Like, I saw stars when I bit into it. I found the mole chicken taco to be a little underwhelming. I would have liked to have mole drizzled on my mole chicken taco rather than just having the chicken tossed in mole sauce--I supposed that's something I could ask for on my next visit. The mole fries were solid, though. In hindsight, I should have just dipped my mole chicken taco in the extra sauce that was on my fries. The sauces they offer were really good, too. They have mild, hot, and extra hot sauces for people needing a little extra zest on their food. All in all, I would definitely eat here again.
After having given on trying Mexican food in the South, we thought we'd try this spot after reading some reviews. Pleasantly surprised. Had the Suadero, Al Pastor, Tinga, and the Veggie taco. Great flavors, soft tortillas!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Went here for lunch. 2 people, 3 tacos, nachos & 2 drinks. Tip included, $50. Food was good. Didn't have to ask for anything. Food was hot/fresh. In my opinion, they could have hotter sauces. Other than that, 5 stars!
Excellent tacos and amazing sauce. The chips are nice and thick and the qeso. The atmosphere is fun and bright. Excellent service and the staff seem happy to be there.
